I mean an application is much more than just the DAT score. For reference, at one of my interviews the dean explicitly stated the DAT is only weighted around 20/25% of the entirety of your app when being considered for interviews/admission.

Guess what I wanted to say is, this interview selection process is a no fair game. Sometimes purely random, or based on just personal preference.

Yeah, I mean it's definitely true that it's not all about the numbers, but I also feel like my application was very complete and had no real holes besides maybe I could have applied earlier in the summer? Only applied in August because my DAT was in July.

My DAT score definitely helped. I scored a 25 on GC and 30 on OC.
I had a pretty awesome Co-op with publication.
Personally I think my PS painted a good picture of why I am pursuing dentistry and how much I've grown since starting this journey, balancing school, work, and a four year old.
