To my MD-only SDNer colleagues waiting on 10/15 - goodluck!

It's an absolutely incredible feeling. I'm a few weeks since my first acceptance and still running on a high. 🙂
Honestly, I'm only just coming down from getting a 4 on my AP english exam in junior year of high school, so I'd expect an acceptance to last me till my first-born.

Let's remember to be kind and remember that while not ideal, Caribbean schools may be someone's only/best option. I have a cousin who got a Caribbean MD and is now completing residency in the US. It's still a valid path to becoming a doctor!

By all means people can share their acceptances! And it is a valid path. But people should come in prepared to get bombarded with statistics that suggest they are more likely to fail than succeed. On that note, the degree and pathway ARE valid.

Wasn't suggesting that you thought it wasn't a valid path. Just a request to the people on here doing the criticizing. 🙂

My coworkers keep asking me if I've heard back yet and I want to vomit everytime I tell them "No, Tuesday." That's only two days! How did I get here!?
(One of the) exact reason(s) why I try to tell as little people as possible I'm applying. And if I do, I don't tell them when I expect to hear back.

Gonna get hyped! I only have 2 that are potential for tomorrow and one of them is like a (0.3*0.1)*100=3% possibility....BUT HYPE TRAIN!!!

Assuming .30 and .10 are the post-II acceptance rates for each school, what you calculated is actually the probability of getting into both schools. The probability of getting into one or the other is actually .3 + .1 - .03 = .37! So much better than 3%

One of the schools I interviewed at sends prematch acceptances out (Texas school) at midnight tonight.... as a reapp I’m hella anxious

me waiting to hear from 3 schools tomorrow

just realized that by creating this thread and being on west coast (won’t wake up until around 11 AM EST) I am going to wake up to several hundred SDN notifications at everyone getting an A. Will share in everyone’s success!

Top choice = getting an MD

So yes!!!

Having multiple As would be a blessing, choice is a privilege! Will make a comment on top choice if I get to choose. But bruh...Yah, we waiting on our top choices lol
yea ofc but I know of a lot of schools that delay releasing decisions, that was mainly what I was asking. it just so happens that the school I would take over all others I have interviews at is releasing decisions tomorrow so extra stress over here lmao.

We're all in this together.
@gyngyn loves us. Interview inbound from XYZ SOM confirmed.

More serious note, can we all pour one out with a like for @gyngyn, @gonnif, @Goro, @LizzyM, @HomeSkool, @OrthoTraumaMD, @Moko, and all the other adcoms, MED students, and the like for their help along the way, and the help they will continue to provide along the rest of this cycle? Y’all helping make doctors. Thanks, hopeful future mentors and colleagues.
