I think the only caveat with those statistics is that when it talked about acceptance rate for # of interviews and ranks that it was across all specialties. So not sure if that changes much for Ortho. In page 8 WAdentist posted this link.
This shows that if you have 7-9 interviews, you have 81% match rate. If you submit 7-9 ranks, you have 93%.
Mannnn I had friends went through the process years before my time. I have seen all kinds of scenarios. Knew a few people with 10+ interviews, did not match. Knew people who had 1-2 interviews, matched. What is a safe number of interviews to have before starting to decline interviews? With socials along with interviews, it’s becoming difficult to take time off from school
May I ask what your stats are?

Wait I thought NYU sent out invites already, according to this threadI don’t understand how NYU or Jacksonville has yet to send out invites
No one has really confirmed that they have gotten an interviewWait I thought NYU sent out invites already, according to this thread
Hey everyone,I don’t understand how NYU or Jacksonville has yet to send out invites
Yes. I sent individual thank-you notes to everyone. After an interview, is it okay to send a personal thank you, either as an email or card to the program director?
I just got an email from them about learning about our program and open-day tour.Has anyone gotten an invitation from Jacksonville?
Same, whats that supposed to mean?I just got an email from them about learning about our program and open-day tour.
It doesn't seem well to me.Same, whats that supposed to mean?
My guess is they’re trying to see who is really interested enough to come visit the program short notice and maybe grant them an interview.Same, whats that supposed to mean?
ExactlyThat makes little sense. How does that work for literally anyone else not close to Jacksonville?
Not according to what was posted here!Maybe I was wrong but didn’t Jacksonville have their interviews already? I thought they were releasing results for who got in to the program tomorrow…
Has anyone NOT gotten this?I just got an email from them about learning about our program and open-day tour.
I applied but didn't get the emailHas anyone NOT gotten this?
Check your spam I think everyone got it, seems like an error on their partI applied but didn't get the email
No I’m pretty sure it was sent to everyone who appliedWould ignoring the email make us look not interested?, because there is no way I can make it.
Anyone get the social invite for rochester next week?
There’s a bunch of socials depending on when you interviewIs there another social? There was one this past Tuesday
Yes!Do you think ortho internships would increase someone's chance in getting interviewed in the future?
Any chance that you've got an interview on Friday Oct 28 and are willing to switch to a Thursday Oct 27 interview?Marquette in Wisconsin sent out invites today for October 27 or 28
Is there even many?Do you think ortho internships would increase someone's chance in getting interviewed in the future?
GA school of ortho just sent virtual interview invitations. Oct19-26
Ima shoot for the scholarship they offer. Otherwise, private loans. I’ll pay any dime for that specialist tag.Serious question, how does anyone plan to pay the tuition and fees for Georgia? I just calculated tuition and fees for the 3 years and it’s $381,000! This is not including living expenses and other expenditures l, which could easily add another $50-75k per year. Is it even worth it at that point if it’s the only program we get in?
