Still no word from Monte, Temple or Stonybrook? If anyone has info could you please share…
Lmao maybe they forgot today was the 4thanyone heard from nyu yet?
I’m curious too. Been on three interviews now and they all stated ‘record numbers’ of applications - UIC had over 500 this year! Last year they were around 400.I’m curious what’s the average number of interviews people are receiving this cycle.
CWRU said to have over 400 applicants this year.I’m curious too. Been on three interviews now and they all stated ‘record numbers’ of applications - UIC had over 500 this year! Last year they were around 400.
I’m hearing from other interviewees record numbers of their classmates are applying. Penn has 30+. Some schools aren’t even doing courtesy interviews for their students anymore because there are just too many applying.
I go to a P/F school and around 40+ students will be applying to ortho next cycle from my school.CWRU said to have over 400 applicants this year.
Pretty sure it stays the same each year since they have a limited number of positions to fill.Does anyone know if schools interview more people if they have more applicants?
61. 10/5 (email) Montefiore 10/29th or 10/31st
Honestly, I would trade 3 interviews for an interview at Montefiore hahaHi! If anyone is able to switch their 11/1 SLU interview with my 10/22 interview or 10/21 Pacific interview with my 10/22 interview, please message me!
Why is that? I don't know that much about the program.Honestly, I would trade 3 interviews for an interview at Montefiore haha

This cycle I think only 5 applied, it seems like every cycle is a little different.

i didnt know schools would send rejections through mail.Just saw that I Got a rejection letter from Temple thru the mail on October 1st.
What do you mean by saying you cannot take out more? Is it similar to Howard, where residents are unable to take out federal Grad PLUS loans, despite needing additional living expenses in Washington, D.C.?Plus, tuition comes straight out of their pay, so good luck trying to live on $35k before taxes in NYC while paying off loans—especially since you can’t take out more.
Same🤷🏻♀️i didnt know schools would send rejections through mail.
Yesconfused.. so did montefiore send out invites or no?
I visited Montefiore for 2 days (they offer 2 day visits but they're usually booked for a few months). Lots of modern technology, I saw 5 ortho-surgery cases, Invisalign, Light Force and lots other treatment methods, residents were very happy and their relationship with the faculty is unlike I've seen anywhere else, friendly and open. Director is real cool and comes from private practice background. He gave a class in the morning, and it was the exact same class he gave the week before at a CE course to experienced orthodontists, which I think would be amazing as a resident. I also think UOP, MCG and UMich are strong (I've visited 20 programs) but I prefer a hospital based program. Why is that? I don't know that much about the program.
Yes that's weird. It's also tough to gauge the socials. They're all optional, but kinda feels like it's encouraged.i didnt know schools would send rejections through mail.
If we didn't receive an email yet, does that likely mean we didn't make the cut?gso zoom interview 10/15-10/25
