I don't believe it counts as a grade replacement because the two classes are fundamentally different and they were taken at different levels of your education.
Ah, ok thanks. I feel I've been waiting forever....I see some of you guys got verified just within a week 🙁That is normal.
On the PDF that's sent to the school you can see it listed under "Official Test Scores."When (and how) do we actually know that our MCAT scores have been received by AACOMAS?
Are we able to find out before we submit, or is it only after we submit that we'll know?
Hey so I know LECOM will be accepting ACT/SAT scores instead of MCAT scores or if you don't have one they use MCAT. Is there anyway you can make sure they don't get the MCAT score since my first one was bad. I think on the secondary right or would they automatically see my bad MCAT score because of the accomas application.
Once you are verified you can submit to additional schools. Also - can you add schools once you've submitted the application? I added more but it won't let me pay for them.
Update... I sent it to them via UPS with a tracker. It's funny because a few hours after I got signature confirmation, they marked it as received. Guess they can't throw it in a pile and "lose" it if they know it's being tracked...They finally responded to my original email, 8 days later, with an automated email telling me that it takes 7-10 days for them to mark a transcript as "received" once it arrives. So basically answering none of my questions while quoting something I had already read in the instructions. Useless.
On the application I put the id for the mcat, but don't you still have to send it from the mcat score website to electronically send them in somehow. Or does it automatically go once you put the id in on aacomas.
Long time lurker. Can usually search and find the answers to my questions. I am a non-trad who spent 18-25 working in restaurant kitchens. I was just going to group into one experience, but I worked at four different places so would you list them separately? I really only have one good contact I have a ton of other more pertinent jobs and experiences that I was going to list.
People still having problems logging on?
Before, but there will be no GPAs on it.
Can anyone tell me when the next cycle for AACOMAS opens up? I will be applying next year after completion of my fifth year of university. Someone told me May but I would like to confirm so I can apply on the first day if possible!
Tomorrow will be one month that I submitted my primary and it is still in the "verifying" stage. Is it supposed to take this long?
Hi! I just sent in my application via AACOMAS with transcripts, LOR, and everything already done. Does anyone know how long it took for them to hear back to make sure everything was received or how to check?
Does anyone know if there is a way to view the AACOMAS app after you submit it? I'm filling out a secondary and the school is asking for employment hours/week. Since my hours were variable each week, I put an estimated average on AACOMAS, but can't for the life of me remember what I put. I don't want to estimate again and have the numbers from my primary and secondary not match. When I go to AACOMAS, all my experiences are grayed out with no option to view them. Any ideas? Thanks!
Also - can you add schools once you've submitted the application? I added more but it won't let me pay for them.
Things seem to be rolling along now at AACOMAS. I've got several emails from schools saying my app was complete and under review.
Just for clarification, what can you update once you submit your application? I haven't sent an evaluation for one of my letters, but I wanted to get the application verified. Can I still upload an evaluation request after submitting the primary application?
You can be marked as complete and verified without the MCAT score attached. If anyone would be so kind as to answer my question I would really appreciate it. Does one need to have their official MCAT score released from AAMC to AACOMAS before they can be officially verified or can you be verified & marked complete without an MCAT score attached?
So if AACOM only counts the final attempt in GPA calculations, can you have a potentially unlimited amount of repeats for a class? If W's aren't treated like repeats, then for the sake of GPA calculations, actually failing classes and repeating is better than withdrawing and repeating?
Yes, but I imagine there is a point where it will be frowned upon by the admissions committee.
Withdrawals are treated like you did not take the class for GPA calculations. This means that the effect of a F then repeat or a W then repeat have the same impact on your GPA. Ultimately, I believe a W would look better - you also are not constrained to the same class in your retake.
So you applied last year, and this year? Did you mark your repeats correctly this time?
