The girl I'm hosting for her OOS interview here at UF got in today!!!

That could be one of my friends! She had her interview there, today. Three of us from the same school had interviews there this week!

No I dont know the exact number but less than 850 if I had to guess. My application was submitted in June, i'm IS, and not a first time applicant; sat on the wait list last time I applied. I was shocked to hear this early, it should have been end of feb. before I heard. It is a blessing for my husband and I to stay state side. I wish you all the best of luck, but as I said they usually dont send anything until end of feb so there is plenty of time before worry/stress should hit the radar for MSU applicants!

It might help to look in the OSU thread. From what everyone is saying, it seems like it was just early acceptances for WICHE/Cali people. Also, I think OSU only interviews instate (OR residents). But I definitely think there is still hope...its still pretty early 🙂

Don't lose hope! As I think someone said in the OSU (Oregon) thread, it looks like they're trying to do things a little differently this year with out-of-staters (i.e. those who will not be interviewing) by allowing those people a little more time to visit/get to know the place. I really don't think that means that if you don't hear back right now you're out of luck. This is the first time they're doing this, and first times can always be a little...messy

AND I have a HUNCH that Oregon is slightly less organized (read: more laid back??) than some of the other adcomms. Just my impression 😛

Haha. It felt so unceremonious opening up the email because I was just going through my junk email to delete stuff and was like "What's this?" My roommate and I had just been talking about how frustrating it was that we weren't hearing anything, so when I saw it I just stared blankly at her and asked her to read the email to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
