***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Oh man, don't get me started on the US litigation...

freaking fat kids suing McDonalds.. women suing them for Hot Coffee (and WON!) ::FUME::

And theeeen, there're the malpractice suits... 10% genuine, 90% bullspit from people looking to make a quick buck.. cuz this is how we make money in america: by suing others. +pissed+

Not many I'll bet. All the cheap wine, whiskey, and Irish car bombs discussed a thousand posts ago are being saved for Tuesday.

Dont forget, scores actually release a little earlier than 12midnight. I got mine at like 11:30 while I was idly refreshing away

Wow, I am not even going to try to catch up on all the posts, there have been around 700 since I left this afternoon lol. WE are sooooooooo close!

yeah it was somewhere near 3600 when i last looked while poeple were saying "pad the post". this will hit 5K by tonight, possibly even 5.5. SDN should really consider investing into a java chatroom

With the number of people that monitor this while they're at work...this thing may reach 5k by noon! Slackers!!! :laugh:

I have this feeling SDN is not going to be able to handle the score release...I've seen it struggle at times over the past couple of weekends. What do you think?

no updates yet...nothing has been added to the examinee data yet, but it is only 6:57 am on the east coast, so they might still add it this morning.

The database servers were upgraded this past weekend (See what they upgraded: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=290045). It'll handle the load! 😀

I have a feeling they won't release it until the date actually turns to June 20th in the central time zone. I don't know why, I think they have some new rule that they have to torture premeds for the full 60 days. 😀 :meanie:

I had my first clear MCAT dream last night as I tossed and turned all night. Some guy from the AAMC office came to my house and asked why I thought scores were going to be released on June 20th. I told him because that's what they posted on the website. He then informed me that the message was from the last April MCAT. So, in my dream, I got excited thinking maybe he was telling me they were going to be out today. Then, I woke up and realized he was probably trying to tell me I'm going to have to wait until pigs fly to get my results. Grrrrr.

Since I'm going to be at work all day (9-6), I've found a place with wireless internet access (and food) for my lunch hour. While I hold out little hope that they'd be released that early on either day, I just have to know anyway. Once I do get them, I can imagine I won't want to go back and finish the workday.

My page checker (tx LifetimeDoc) just went off b/c they changed something on the mcat page... I guess registration for the computerized test is open. Put up the damn scores and worry about the rest later!

When the message pops up, there will be a confusing link that says something like "View What Changed (Beta Test)". Click it and it will show you what has changed since the last refresh. Mine hasn't gone off yet today, but I only update every 5 minutes.

While I think for a lot of obese people (I'm a little overweight myself) weight is their own fault. However, fast food restaurants have some culpability in the epidemic obesity of America. They make it way too easy to load up on less than healthy, huge portion, crappy food. It's very difficult, and expensive, to eat right, especially when on the go.

i used to be overweight, i played high school football and was the captain (QB). then i got injured and got overweight. so i enlisted myself into bootcamp for the summer, and got myself on track. what i think keeps me going to the gym everyday is just guilt so to speak. its also a great way to brush off stress during mcat times. but i agree about culpability. if tobacco companies have to put disclaimers, i think companies like mcdonalds should be a little bit more reponsible. two cents

Good morning everyone! I just went to get bagels and coffee. I finally caved in and put up a page checker for my firefox. But instead of an air raid siren, I have the "moo" sound from AIM!

How is everyone in our last or second-to-last day?
