In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Ok, among the TPR rumors, I talk to Karen on the phone from the MCAT program office. The extact date is monday/ tuesday, so those of you hoping to recieve your scores tomorrow, you must wait another week 😱

Arrgh, you shouldn't have told me! Now I'll be a wreck until then, and then I will find out how awful I did, and then I will wish I hadn't known.

Don't tell us anymore!!!

Lalalalalallalalalalalallalalalalalalalalalalallaal

There's definitely a part of me that doesn't want to know sooner. I would be mortified if I found out that I had to retake! But the rational side of me says that if I really screwed it up, then knowing sooner would be a greater advantage than knowing later. At least, I will have a few more weeks of focused studying for the August MCAT.

 Seriously, it is getting to the point where if I log in I have to prepare myself to possibly see a score.

All of that logging in, in May, was just for practice. Heh.

Now I'm waiting on SDN to break the news that scores are out...so I can prepare myself to go and see.

When SDN was down these last couple of days you would have thought I was missing my crack. I was like, WHAT IF THE SCORES BREAK AND SDN ISN'T UP?! I DON'T THINK I CAN LIVE!! OH THE HUMANITY!!

Lets have a protest outside their offices like the illegal immigrants do demanding citizenship only we wants score reports.

I think this weekend will see record numbers of students piling into religious organizations for prayer...

Apparently they e-mailed or sent a letter out to their students...those bastards.

I don't even check the mcat site, I can't stand the suspsense. I find it's easier just to check this thread. But I get nervous when it take a minute or two to load.

They usually post little tantalizing changes to the THx message a day before test scores come out.

I am going crazy. The wait. Other uncertainties. Ahhhh. *sigh*

I've actually found that I've become a bit numb to the whole MCAT THx login. It's like the boy who cried wolf at this point. Based on the posts from people with inside sources that said the scores would be released at 6:30 PST yesterday, I have since checked THx a dozen times. I think by the time the scores are actually posted, I will be taken completely off guard, because with every login attempt, I'm becoming more and more pessimistic about the probability of the scores being there...does this make sense to anyone else?

When the scores actually come out and you login to the Thx site, does it show all of your numbers right off, or do you have to then click a link for "april 2006" on the scores page. Just want to brace myself, would like to have an opportunity to take a deep breath before clicking once I know they are out. Right now the page just says "no scores" or something to that effect of course.

haha same for me too

i neeeeeed to knowwwwww

Hey, it would really be a nightmare scenario if scores are released and everyone is either excited or crushed, except a couple of us that still have blank screens (scores were lost or not reported!). OMG. A new possibility! 😱

if my scores don't show up because they were lost/not reported, im pretty much going to headbutt my monitor.

So last night at 12:37 am (I guess I mean this morning), I was about to fall asleep when my friend called me. I wasn't going to answer my phone but when I saw who it was my heart stopped because I knew she would only call me that late if it was important. I thought she was calling because she heard MCAT scores came out. My heart raced and I answered the phone... She wanted some notes for a class she was taking this summer that I had previously taken. Needless to say, I couldn't fall asleep for a long time.

Lesson learned...
Turn off phone when going to bed!

Shame on you TPR for getting my hopes up. I gave you a lot of my cash, and all I get is lies! I'm still holding out for scores today, but I realize it will probably be next week. BOOOOOO

I'm pretty sure it will be next week.. All these recent calls to AAMC have been ending in responses such as mid June and that would mean next week.

Sooo.... I called AAMC yesterday, and they (a lady named Sandra) said scores were due out the week of the 19th. Is everyone else checking the THx scores on the AAMC website? Everyone keeps referring to TPR, but I don't quite understand what exactly that is.

Goooooooooooooooooodddddddddddddd Luckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet AMCAS / THX would save a lot of time by designating a representative to monitor/answer threads on here rather than answering frustrated phone calls all day. Or at least how about posting timely updates on their site!

TPR= The Princeton Review. I almost feel like TPR is working like a gossip column of a tabloid whne it comes to projecting the release date of the MCATs

Or an hour or two, like yesterday!

I bet we all go non-verbal when they finally are released.... people will open this thread and see pages and pages of emoticons.

But for now this one will do. +pissed+ No scores on THX this morning.
I'm going to be totally irrational and hope for tomorrow morning, instead of logically admitting that they probably won't appear until next week.

I sure hope TPR is better at test prep than at predicting score release dates 🙂 (I guess we'll find out soon 😀)

I'm back from a 2 day SDN hiatus and getting back to compulsively checking this thread and THx.

Last night I had my most ridiculous MCAT dream yet. We were all gathered outside the AAMC prison (which apparently exists in my subconscious) for the score release. The prison is where they keep the scores during this 60 day interval. Everyone waiting for a score had to form a circle around the prison. A bunch of your avatars were there (I remember Anastasis for sure). When the AAMC wardens released the scores from the prison (Think numbers with legs), the "scores" were supposed to leave the prison and find who they belonged to.

The warden fired a gun into the air which was the signal to release the scores, and the scores all started yelling as they fanned out running from the prison. All of us waiting were jumping and chanting. A 25 started running straight for me and winked at me (!), so I turned and ran the other way, even though AAMC explicitly warned us to stay in the circle to prevent scoring errors. Problem was I ran so fast that no score ever caught up with me, so I found out I was going to have to retake the test. 🙁

Any psych majors wanna take a crack at analyzing this sucker?? Haha

Week of 19th would suck big time. Posters on other threads have called an gotten a 12,13 release date.

AAMC people don't know ****... The people who called the MCAT offices in Iowa got a 12th-13th response.

So- I havent ever posted but lately Ive been reading this thread religiously. The pressure is starting to get to me too. Last night I dreamed I made a 10. In my dream I was bawling hysterically. Then somehow I found out I really made a 39. Of course then I was very happy. So-- maybe that means I will make the average- 24.5, which would suck. **Sigh** How is everyone distracting themselves from the impending doom?? 😱

You didn't happen to see which scores were running towards me did you?? 😉

I was too busy trying to escape from that 25 to take in much of my surroundings, so I guess I can't help ya. Hopefully the real AAMC will have better news for me than their prison...

My undergrad was in Art History. So.... pretending your dream was from the beginning of the italian renaissance, I would say that the AAMC is symbolic of the Church. This "Circle" you were commanded to stay within represents both the "flock" of the congregation and a Dante-style level of purgatory/hell. You wish to stray from the obligatory circle (shown by running), but get punished in the end for leaving (you have to retake the exam).

The winking numbers have got me stumped. Do you know of any numbers that winked in Florentine Art around 1300 CE? Unless, of course, "winking" is a euphemism for wetnursing, a hymen or something oddly shakespearian like that.

I need more coffee.

😛

I have no relevant psych experience, but before I analyze this thing in depth, I need you to lay down on my couch and answer one question:

Have you ever experimented with mind expanding drugs? :scared:

Wow...your analysis was far more in-depth and intelligent than mine...I can't believe I didn't see that connection. I suck again!

dreamt about a 26, and woke up crying

why god, why me, why why why

 I wonder if THx will jam up when the scores are released so that it takes forever to load because of so many people logging on. Even worse ... what about SDN?!?!!

Someone on another thread called yesterday and were given the week of June 19th as the release date. Grrrrrrrr. How much would that suck???? 👎

hehe. par example: "the 2006 April scores will be loaded on midnight June 12th" :scared:

Does anyone else think they have a pool at AAMC every June / October, to see who can guess the total number of phone calls and e-mails AAMC will receive regarding the MCAT score release date?

I think they're all laughing hysterically as they continue to tally up the numbers! Otherwise, you'd think they would go crazy from all of us calling and e-mailing them!

Ahhh, but the beauty of my prior degree is that YOU TOO can BS your way into an A simply because there is no "correct answer." You just have to draw lots of random comparisons and make it sound good.

Thus: zimmie's dream may perhaps represent a supressed urge to move to the great plains, as exemplified by running AWAY from the numbers. On the other hand, perhaps it means zimmie is really not running AWAY, but running TOWARDS freedom. Is this freedom from the MCAT? Freedom from AMCAS? From AAMC? or from HMO's and restrictive medicine?

Bless my Seven Sisters liberal arts education. I sure hope it translates to a nice Verbal score!

By the way, Zimmie, have you considered Ambien? 😛

... about <----------------------------------this-----------------------------------> much!!! :scared:

I had an MCAT dream last night too... I dreamt I got a 15 in BS, 11 in VR and 13 in PS, and an X (!) in the writing sample. Even weirder is that my score was a 35X... first, 15 + 11 + 13 = 39. Second, THERE IS NO WAY I got a 13 in PS nevermind a 15 in BS. Third, they were in the wrong order, they listed BS first. WTF? I had been pretty good for the last few months, I even forgot to check if scores were posted these last few days and now all of a sudden its haunting my dreams. 😕

I just laughed out loud in the computer lab and everybody started at me. I LOVE this dream... now I'm going to walk around all day with a mental image of Amanda Tapping (my avatar) running away from scores with legs...
