•This thread may be handy when I get my decision from EVMS tomorrow. I haven't had a better interview, loved the school, match extremely well with it (a surgeon there has said he would be happy to work with me while I'm attending), loved the area (ranked high on the quality of living list), etc... Problem? Well, I kinda told them they have to find a way to give me $12,000 to $14,000 a year. I said I don't see how I can attend otherwise. I'm beginning to regret ever saying this. After having thought about it, I believe I would be willing to foot the bill no matter what the cost. I can see how this might cause me to get a rejection, and am worring I will get bad news tomorrow. Perhaps it will work in my favor. "Mr. SwampMan, we are going to offer you an acceptance and a 1/2 tuition scholarship!!!" That would be nice! I'm not going to count on it, though.
Anyway. If things don't work out tomorrow, I'll be sure to b!tch and moan! 😀 You know me! •••••I thought I would come to this thread to b!tch after a rejection from EVMS. I didn't have the urge. A peaceful calm settled on me when I heard the voice at the end of the phone say, "the committee found you to be an unacceptable candidate". It was a harsh way to put it, but at least I am finished with this hellish process.
Enjoy the game, my friends! Bwa ha ha ha!
