Yes you should! I think they just act pretty quickly, because I received an interview invite 4 days after I sent the secondary application as well

I wonder this as well. First batch also and there are schools I'd love to hear back from.

My guess is that some schools probably pull out a bunch of apps that they really like for early interviews and then hold onto a bunch until the submission deadline. At that point they've got all they're going to get and they can do more interviews without having to pass up some excellent late candidates. This is what I tell myself so that I can sleep through the night. I am still hoping for the closest thing I have to a state school to come through.

Yes it is a rejection, it's just that they cannot put "rejection/not accepted" until after dec 1, by agreement of all dental schools associated with aadsas. I received the same from UNLV. No worries, keep your head up!

UCSF on 11/3 (thankfully before dec 1) and UNLV on Dec 12. UNLV is more of a fallback for me anyways because I have a good amount of pre-dec interviews. Hopefully I will get an acceptance from one and then I can celebrate in Vegas rather than interview there.

Also the email from UCSF specified the interview date. I was not able to pick. UNLV you can pick a date online. Earliest they had was 12/12 but they have alot of days after 12/12. UNLV tends to fill most of their seats on 12/1 so don't plan on receiving an acceptance after that date unless you are a resident or have near perfect GPA/DAT since their school has a ranking system calculated by GPA and DAT scores. GL!

Well dang, I was curious about UNLV, that was one of my top choices. Looks like I will have to rely on my other 3 interviews and use your method of using Vegas as a celebration

Yeah I did. It was great honestly! They do two interviews: An informed interview and an uninformed based upon if they have read your application or not. They were all very accommodating and genuinely interested in us being there for the day. I was really impressed with the students and the faculty! Their dental school is pretty new so it was very cool to see it. Overall a great interview! I think youll enjoy it
