got an invite from case this morning through aadsas!!! so do i call them to schedule a date? or email??

I GOT A CASE INVITE TOOOO!!!!! SCORE!!!😍

I am so excited!!! I called and got the last December invite...the rest are in January

congrats guys, dont wait for the mail, go ahead and call case and schedule the interview as they are filling up slots fast

also, can someone ask them when they will fill up most of their seats? hopefully its not by dec 1

just called and got the earliest available date which was january 5th. i hope there will be some spots left for me haha
 
Case interview January 6th... isnt that super late... will they still have a fair amount of spots left since its after Dec. 1st?

Think about the bright side: if you still decide to go and case really likes you, you will get an offer very soon other than long time waiting as for the pre-december interviewees.

Cheer up! It is always good to have interviews than nothing.

Question (and I know this might be a silly question, but): If you are offered a secondary application, does that mean they are considering you, GPA and all? Or do some school's simply offer the secondary application just for applying?

I can always rephrase if that doesn't make sense!

Some schools offer secondaries to all applicants, whereas others only give it to those they consider interviewing.

Case only does interviews 4 days each week and they only have 3 students at each interview. So, they really don't have a lot of spots available. What they do is a "rolling admissions." After you interview at Case, they rank you against everyone else who interviews, and they extend acceptances each month between December and May to the top ranked prospective students. They only accept around 20 (that's a rough estimate) students on Dec. 1st. Then around once a month after that they accept around 15 more (again, a rough estimate) each month until May until they fill the rest of their spots. So, its really not TOO big of an issue if you don't get an interview until after Dec. 1.

i don't get why Case has such a high GPA cutoff (3.5+) when DAT should be weighed just as heavily?

but either way, congrats!

So, question for everyone... I'm checking my email constantly, just waiting for Louisville to send me something. I got an email saying my app was complete on 7/23. But I haven't heard a thing since then.

Here are my stats:

Science GPA: 3.83
Non-Science GPA: 3.72

AA/TS/PAT - 20/19/26

Any thoughts or advice?

Im pretty sure Case is one of the only ones. Nova is probably on their way since they started giving out interviews early in july. For Columbia itll be a while since they started giving out interviews this morning so i wouldn't worry too much about it.

my DAT scores were sent out by aadsas on 8/20 so when should i expect an "app complete" email from columbia?

Plenty of comm serv, dental shadow etc.

Hmm, my mailing date was the first one, but my APP was complete around 3-4 mailing date (lagging LORs). GPA is a low 3.4 across the board. DAT was 22/22/21. Hope that helps. I was expecting a rejection, because the board consensus was case= 3.5+, but apparently it isn't true. Gl! Edit: woops interview is sometime in mid-late november. I don't have the date off the top of my head sorry -_-

what do you mean thats the cutoff? Im short of a 3.5+ but got an interview at Case

Congrats on VCU!! I'm hoping to hear from them soon. My app is marked as complete on AADSAS.

I just received my official interview invite packet from UT Memphis today! Now gonna plan a trip out to Memphis! Luckily, it's not too far away.

I never received an "app complete" email from Columbia... and nothing on AADSAS, but I got an interview invite sometime last week. That was the first I had heard from them.
 
Indiana "invited for interview" yesterday!

but no email/smail from them.

Do I call them to make an appointment?
 
This wait is so difficult! I'm still waiting for the big news.

no...according to your sig your GPA's sitting right at a 3.5
but anyways, my friend has a GPA of 3.2 and a decent DAT of 20AA and a PAT of 22 I believe, and he got rejected at Case a few weeks back. He called in to ask if a higher DAT would make up for the GPA, and the Case rep simply said "No, you need a GPA of 3.5 to make the cutoff".
And his mailing date was July 2 as well
 
University of Louisville!! Just received the email. In the email they scheduled the interview for September 17th at 8:30.
 
Just got an email from the University of Louisville, I'm scheduled for September 10th!!!!!!!!! 😀 I'm soooo happy, I just can't wait! :soexcited: This is going to be a good week guys!:biglove:
