hey, how much is the subway pass per month?
It is $76 for 30 day unlimited.
That's such a good deal. I'm assuming this includes buses around NY too, right?

i doubt it. I never heard of students getting discounts. I think only seniors do.THats really cheap!! but i was wondering if NYU offers the pass at a discounted rates for students? FYI, Im not COMPLAINING, i was just wondering
Cheaper than Toronto, at least. We pay 100 bucks a month and can only travel within one region.🙁

does anyone know of any good karaoke places in NYC??? i'm quite the avid singer...
wow that really sucks. how many regions in toronto; is it like the 5 boroughs of NYC? They want to encourage people to use mass transit to cut down on congestion, and i think they are doing a good job.
Do you guys, or any D1 NYUCD people know what 1st year schedule is like? Is it 8-5 Mon-Fri? I cant find a schedule on the website and i know a few people are curious about this.
In Toronto there is around 3 or 4 regions, depending on how you count the suburbs. it's very sprawled out up here... i barely use the TTC (the buses in toronto proper), but i use the public transit in the suburbs and our monthly passes is 95 dollars as well... and then if we wanna go downtown we have to pay twice! they don't transfer! argh!! toronto public transportation is a MESS!
pm someone on facebook and you'll be able to grab a schedule from a D1.
yes i remember you mentioning that technique before 😀 quite the expert. ty
I received a second info packet (denoted the "infopack" by NYUCD") today. It gives you your ID numbers, talks about the health/immunization stuff you need to get done, financial aid, computer/pda requirements, housing, vitalbook, some important dates (orientation, day classes begin, white coat ceremony) and of course the looming 2nd deposit!
We need to keep this thread on the first page! Has anyone received another info packet from NYU yet? They told me to expect something soon...
good job keving 👍
well I dont want u to ask ,but if u hear something about when they are gonna start sending the acceptance letters to foreign dentist , please post it here ,just if u hear something ,the first batch was interviewed mid january and we havent heard any response from them.thanks
yes for the AP program, thank you very much I will appreciate that
🙂 PM me if you're unsure about the school. I'm biased, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing!
Congrats everyone. If you come here you can look forward to 8 exams in 2 weeks... time to get back to studying!
ok, payed my 2nd deposit. Im def gonna be there in the summer. From what i saw, they are still doing interviews and had a few AP interviews as well. sorry marlboro, i heard no info on when acceptances are going out.
i also got my packet today 👍
Has anyone found good cell phone plans for international calls to canada? I don't know where/how to start..
Oh, do you think as NYU dental students we will get new toothbrushes? I'm not talking about the manual ones you get at the dentist's office... I'm talking about Sonicare and the like.
I wish they let us know lil early about the research program acceptance. When are you guys planning on moving to NYC?
probably two weeks before school starts. you?
it depends whether i get accepted to the research program or not. if i do, ill probably move to nyc in middle of may. if i dont get accepted, ill move out around 3 weeks before the orientation
