We both seem to have pissed off the SDN gods and Adcoms. My 3rd time too.
In the tradition of all religions. I promise to make a SDN Angel donation, if I get off the waitlist. 😀

Depakote said:Still praying to St. Jude.
Depakote said:Saint Jude, don't make it bad
Take my sad song and make it better
Please help me get into school
Then life will be so much better
Saint Jude, I am afraid
It's late July now and hope is dimming
But the minute that phone rings
Then you begin to make it better.
And in the times when I am in pain, Saint Jude, refrain,
Help lift the weight of the world off my shoulders.
Well don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Saint Jude! Don't let me down
My cause is all but lost.
Remember, to keep it close to your heart
Then you can start to make it better.
So let it out and let it in, Saint Jude, begin
You've got some miracles to perform
And don't you know that, Saint Jude, we're with you
You'll do, the movement we need is on your shoulders
Saint Jude, don't make it bad
Take my sad song and make it better
Please help me get into school
Then life will be so much better
<_<
C'mon St. Jude. How many other Saints (aside from Saint Stephen) have their own classic song?

I don't know what the official deadline is. I assume it's a judgement call... they can't poach from other schools at some point, but if someone has a freak-out on day 3 of classes, they could decide that some lucky guy who is in no-where could make up what he missed and call him.RayhanS1282 said:Okay how does this waitlist thing work....can they still call you after the white coat ceremony? Or is that prohibited or something.

Depakote said:Well, with the hellish pace of medical school, I imagine that a week (two if the dean is frickin nuts) into actual clases, nobody will be able to recover from missing that much material... and they'll just call a loss a loss.

That's very encouraging...etf said:it's funny because in theory, the people that are likely to be called in last minute are the ones the adcoms thought were least qualified, so they would be the least able to catch up on the material. that is in theory, of course. i know if i got called in 3 weeks into school i'd be so excited/motivated that i wouldn't be able to sleep for a week anyway, so i'd just study the whole time...
