For all of you who took the exam in May:

This is the official score release thread for the May 2007 MCAT dates. Feel free to post serious information and announcements about the impending score release. You can post your scores in here when the time comes as well.

This post also serves as a warning to remind you guys that fake threads stating "SCORES ARE UP" will give you an automatic post hold for one week.

No offense, but you are absolutely out of your mind if you are going to retake with a 34R...you are SET!

34 is a great score. People get into UCLA and UCSF with 34. Remember that your score can go down if you retake. There is no guarantee that it will go up.

If I don't get it this year, i'm definetely going to send in my primaries EARLY and hope for the best

I saw your post and saw that my scores weren't up, so I assumed that you reported false scores. Clearly, I was wrong, so... :-\ sorry about that. Good job on your scores!

33R!!!! SO happy i dont have to retake again (PS12 VR10 BS11)

I took the may 31'st test and got a 27N (8 9 10) Im so happy right now.

I was so disappointed when I got my score for April. But it motivated me to study really hard. I still can't believe my score. My goal was to get 30. No more MCAT for me.

For all of you august mcaters who are disappointed with your scores and plan to retake, take mysefl and many others who were successful in their second attempt as an example. I was devastated after the january 29th test. I scored a 22 the first time around.

VR 6, BS 8, PS 8

I knew this score was not representative of my abilities, so I bought a set of Exam Kracker books (including the 1001 verbal passages book) and lived in the library for the next month. After over 150+ hours of library study and taking practice exams, I am pleased to say that I raised my score by 9 points on the august 9th exam!

VR 9, BS 10, PS 12 (31) :hardy:

If you want it bad enough, you can do it! Good luck to you all!!!!

that is exactly what I did. I got a 22 in April and I knew I could do better. I got the ExamKrackers books and the 101 verbal passages book and studied like crazy for 2 months. It was a lot of work but it payed off.

Hello everyone, Im pretty new to SDN.
I want to give some hope to other pre-meds out there who didnt do so hot on their first MCAT...

I took the MCAT in April 2004 and got a 23P: 6Verbal, 7physical, 10bio...
I retook the exam on August 9th and got a 32R... 11verbal, 9physical, 12bio...

Im so happy about my score...the difference for me was taking tons of practice tests....all of the Kaplans and AAMC tests.

Jes... I scored same as my worst diag score... :mad: 24M (P:9, V:6, B:9). I have no idea what happened. So disappointed by it. No more MD dreams for me. Good luck to rest of you though.

I am so happy with my score! I'm just a little surprised at the breakdown. But if there's one section to get a 9 in, it's definitely (IMO) PS. And where the hell did that 12 come from? I barely broke an 10 in practice. Whatever - I got a good score that I'm satisfied with. I'm just so glad that I don't ever have to think about this stupid test again!

Alright, obviously, the only people that post here are the ones that got a great score. Well, to encourage all of those of you who didn't get a great score im gonna post my score. Just cause you did bad don't get down, you can always retake and improve, learn from your mistakes!

Don't give up!!! I can't believe that more people aren't telling you this!! Your practice scores were much higher, you just got screwed over by August 14th (I took it that day too and my VR dropped two points below where it normally was.) Just resolve to BEAT THIS BEAST and study hard, maybe find a study buddy, and do lots of practice tests and you WILL come out on top. If you are dedicated enough, you can do this!

I took the August 14th test and didn't do well. I want to retake but I'm not sure if I will have the time to study and I don't want to risk retaking and getting the same score (or god forbid even lower.)

My practice scores were as follows: (ps/vr/bs)

cbt3: 10/10/11 (31)
cbt4: 9/12/11 (32)
cbt5: 10/11/11 (32)
cbt6: 10/13/11 (34)
cbt7: 10/12/11 (33)
cbt8: 10/10/11 (31)

My actual scores weren't that far off from my practice scores which is why I'm hesitant to retake. Will it look really bad if I retake and don't make a significant improvement? Why can't I just send them the results from my practice tests? lol... oh med school

Yayyyy!! I am so so so so so so so so relieved. paired with a 4.0 gpa, I think im going to be a doctor!! I feel obliged to give more info, so I will! :)
I ranged from 33-39 on practice tests and first took the mcat on July 13 when I got a 33R ( 8 in verbal). I felt crappy after takin that test, so I signed up for a retake date. I retook 3 days after getting my first score back, and I was in a state of dismay. I had no time to study and I felt like I had forgotten everything. I retook and predicted
PS 13
VR 9
BS 10

but instead got 36Q. I do not know how I could possibly do 3 points better on a test that I was much much less prepared for. Needless to say, I don't think the mcat is a very good test. Anyway, I'm ecstatic about my score.. yaayy
