***Official Temple C/O 2015 Acceptance Thread****

i must be the first person to get rejected from Temple after having an interview there, sigh...

Hey guys! I was accepted back in early January but was waiting for other offers... well I got the call from my top school today will be withdrawing from Temple tomorrow in the morning or early afternoon. Someone will be very happy tomorrow I guess 🙂 Good luck to everyone.

I checked the website and it doesn't seem like any awards/financial aid has been updated yet. Have you received any?

I just checked the website and found a list of unsatisfied requirements, but there isn't a link or instructions to complete the requirements. Anybody else get the same thing?

Got the same thing early last week, wasn't sure what to think. I had emailed the Student Financial Services, but haven't heard anything. I guess its a waiting game for now.

Give them a call. They'll look at your account and let you know what to do.
When it comes to a matter like this, just give them a call and you'll get an answer right away.

Congrats to everyone 👍. I can't choose between Temple and NYU 😕 Temple sounds like they're strong clinically but NYU has a great name!! So why would u guys pick Temple over NYU other than the cosst issue😱. I'm from Cali so they cost the same for me.

Well, i am from NY, so they both cost the same for me as well. Temple overall is 80K, NYU is 104K. Temple has a class size more than half as small as NYU's. I enjoyed Temple's student body more, they felt more like a family there. NYU is deff a great school, but for me, I enjoyed temple more.

I also loved the atmosphere but when u say 80K does that including living expenses or that 53K on their website doesn't include equipments and school materials. so u did not care too much for the school name or the new labs they have cause that's why I'm torn. Congrats on ur acceptance

ofcourse I cared for that, school name means very little to me personally. but Temple is renovating right now, and it will be ready by the time we get to the clinics

Does anyone know if there has been any movement on the waitlist ??

1st floor clinics are nearing completion. the clinics will be completely renovated before you all get into the clinic. 80k is tuition and living. msg me with questions about temple. good luck and see you in august

I recently declined my offer of acceptance, so there should be another seat available. Good luck guys.

Hi All,

Congrats to all those who have been accepted to Temple, and good luck to those still waiting to hear! I am a Drexel Med alumna and am renting out my condo. I have lived there for 7 years throughout med school and residency, and honestly feel that it is the ideal place to live during med school. It is super convenient to school, downtown Philly, and Manayunk (where there are fabulous restaurants, shopping, and bars). My condo is also the perfect place for quiet studying. Please see the link below for more info and PM me with any questions!

Good luck!

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if freshman have to take summer classes? Like after the Spring semester ends?

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if freshman have to take summer classes? Like after the Spring semester ends?

The freshmen have class for the first half of the summer, through the third week of June or so, and then are free until classes start at the beginning of August.

The rising sophomores get no official time off from school, and have to see patients, take the boards, and attend 'duty days' scheduled by the school in various clinics.

Has anyone recieved an award letter yet?
If not, has anyone recieved a notice to fill out the GRADUATE PLUS loan eMPN?

Hi all! I got off the wait list this week for Temple and I'm having a hard time finding the tuition for an out of state student.

I really like the program however it does seem like they are unorganized. Is there anything else that I should know about this program (i.e. any weaknesses)? What are the strengths of the program?

I might get off the wait list for George Washington University and I'm wondering if anyone knows more about the program and if you could share what you know. It sounds like a really neat program as well. I have never been there because I had a phone interview and I live in Seattle.
