My AADSAS was submitted mid july but my DAT scores werent uploaded till aug 18th ( I took the exam kinda late). I received the application complete email from UIC on Aug 22nd.

I'm an IL resident and I applied with a 3.5/21 AA, so nothing too crazy. PM me if you have any more questions!

Interview Wednesday... Anyone have any idea what I should be expecting? All I know is that it is a closed file.

Going into this interview, I already had three under my belt. It was definitely the most formal/interrogation like interview out of all of them I have gone to thus far (thats 6). They really make you think and re-think your answers to their questions. Definitely not trying to scare you, but its not the easy, laid-back interview that a lot of schools are doing. Just be yourself and if they ask you to go more in depth with your answer dont freak out!!!

Got the invite this morning. Does anyone care to share anything about their experience? I've been told it was was or less and interrogation.

Pretty interrogational. One person at my interview said that the interviewer seemed to keep asking layers and layers of question about her response. So she felt overwhelmed. I had a more pleasant experience but definitely did feel the pressure as I had multiple pair of eyes staring me down.

I received an email for an interview October 5th. Going in on Monday!! Anyone who had interviewed has a word of advice for the day? Thank you

A word of advice for you would be to anticipate traffic that is even worse than what you are expecting, even at 7am there was a lot of traffic and every interviewee at my interview (most of us in staters expecting a lot of traffic) still wished we gave ourselves even more time for traffic. One girl came late and the admissions people told us she wasn't the first one this cycle to get there late but that they really do want you there on time. The interviews begin right away, so just be warned.

Yes I will make sure to leave super early. Thank you

Really excited to be there soon!! 🙂 Can anyone tell me what the interview day was like? Did you guys enjoy the experience at UIC?

Does anybody know why UIC only gives interviews to less than 3% of OOS applicants? I know it's because it's a state school, but I'm wondering if there's any other reason?

Did you guys get an email from UIC post interview?

Hey did they ask you what your GPA and DAT were?

I think it depends on who you get, but mine definitely was not an interrogation. It was a one-on-one (some have two-on-one) and he just asked me normal interview questions for 45 minutes.

That's weird. I had mine in September, it was one on one and not an interrogation. But my interview was only 20 minutes long.

I only say that because another applicant there said he got grilled 2-1 in his interview, but maybe he was just really nervous.

Yea that's a possibility. But you had a 45 minute interview whereas mine was only 20 minutes. That's what seems weird to me lol

Maybe I'm losing it and it was 20 minutes. I could have swore it was 45, but I could be wrong.

Who you get definitely makes a difference! There are a couple cold faculty members there, but I'm sure there are lots that aren't.

For people who interviewed pre December, does UIC give a response back on December 1st no matter what? Or is there a chance that they wont even notify people until like April to tell them they have been accepted/ rejected/ waitlisted?

From what I understand, if you interviewed before November 15th, you'll hear back dec 1st.

Thank you! I guess tomorrow is either going to be a really good day or a really terrible day
yea the anxiety is really starting to get to me. I've only had three interviews thus far and i really hope to get into just one, idc where at this point.

are they calling or emailing? also did you see a status change on AADSAS?
