I still have invited for interview, does anyone know when we hear back?

Nope. I had an interview in November but didn't hear back from the school on 12/2/19.

That said, I am now trying to understand if there is a relationship between acceptance and the time of the interview.

This is so that I can gauge when I may hear back from the school, or what I may need to do as a follow-up with the school in the near future.

Sorry I thought you had gotten accepted. That makes more sense
 
I don't really think there is a relationship between Interview date and acceptance! The entire school and staff seemed like they really took their time to view each students for who they where and doubt they took into account what day they interviewed! I do think they took all of Pre-December interview-goers and chose their 80 from that pool, regardless of the interview date.
 
if we didn't hear anything regarding scholarships in the call, can I assume that I will not be getting them? I heard there are different waves of scholarships sent out, not sure if that's true.

I think those might be for the people who they accept after December? not entirely sure on that though
 
So when do we find out if we are waitlisted or what? Havent heard anything
 
My son got an email this week saying they were still considering him, after a late November interview. No mention of wait list. Seems like a good email to get, but there sure isn't much info to glean off of.

Anyone else get one of them?

I also got that email and had a late Nov. interview. I assumed everyone who interviewed got it but idk.
 
apparently Pitt gave out waitlist emails? If we didn’t get one, should we assume we are not being considered anymore?

I got a waitlist email today. I think not receiving one would probably be a good sign, but I’m not sure either.
 
I interviewed back in November and havent gotten any email for waitlist or anything. I got a email saying your application is still in review after december so I'm not sure what's going on.
 
I received a waitlist email today (2/5/2020). I interviewed on Jan 13. Does anyone know if they send a waitlist offer to all the people they interview or do they send out both waitlist and rejection emails?

They don't send a wait-list offer to everyone they interview but I'm not sure they send rejection emails. I interviewed months ago and never heard back from them.

Yeah I'm happy where I ended up, thanks. Although I would prefer if Pitt would at least send a rejection letter so I could know for sure.
 
I interviewed in September, was waitlisted in January, and got an update that I’m still on the waitlist today. It looks to me from the apparent lack of waitlist movement this year and in previous years at this point in the year that they will give their offers out to post-December interviewees first, before starting to draw from the waitlist.
 
Hey guys, I just withdrew my acceptance from Pit so hopefully someone on here will get that seat. Good luck everyone!
 
I’d rather not say at the moment for privacy reasons but Pitt was an awesome school. Really loved how strong the research was there. I think they were #4 in NIH funding of all dental schools. The faculty was also incredible. Cons for me was that I’m OOS and getting residency in PA is almost impossible so price was high for a state school. I got an offer from a private school that was close in price, closer to home, and geared well for specialization. I think if it was closer to home for me and I got IS tuition, Id choose Pitt. Just my personal situation. Good luck everyone, keep praying! Theres still alot more time until dental schools fill all their seats.
 
Can anyone be so kind to share the expected COA for an out of state applicant? I seemed to have lost the folder they gave during the interview. Thanks a lot 🙂
