can you get rejected if you're on the waitlist during the call in dates?

The last time I called, I could have been accepted, rejected, or waitlisted; i was waitlisted.

so when i call tomorrow, is it just waitlist/acceptance or do i have to worry about rejection tomorrow?

you will not get taken off of alternate (waitlist) to reject list until after May 15 ( and usually much later).... I don't think anyone gets rejected from Wayne until very very late in the cycle

I believe (according to the letter that I received, and SDN comments) that you will not be removed from the waitlist until the class is enitrely constructed. So your only options are to stay waiting, or acceptance. That's kind of an optimistic viewpoints, isn't it? 🙂

yes... and the beautiful part is, people who interview through february are almost guaranteed to get in if they get waitlisted

I like that train of thought, but how "almost" is "almost guaranteed?" 🙂
I guess I'll have some insight to that answer in 11 hours.

Why are those who interview in Feb almost guarnteed to get in? What about March then? Why?

it is 1 pm eastern... i lost the number also and was just about to post asking for the same thing
 
This must be a crazy couple of hours for them, do they have about 150 people trying to call?
 
I think so. When I had to call back in November the line was busy for quite a long time. I dont think I actually got through until closer to 2pm. I was at work though so I might have quit trying for a while too.

Hmmm... I was told only about 13 people got off their alternate list last year. Apparently, there wasn't much movement last year (when compared to previous cycles). Either way, I hope YOU are right. 😛

I'd lean more towards UMP's assessment. The MS-1's that gave the tour said that a significant portion of the class comes from the waitlist.
It probably doesn't help for me to say this, but it's most likely somewhere in between 13 and "almost guaranteed." 😉

I was on the waitlist last year as well. I believe it was Dawn Street who told me about 13. Usually, a large portion does come from the waitlist. However, I think last year it didn't work out that way. 🙁

Thank you. I appreciate it... and I need it. This process is really beginning to just eat away at me. I'm now on 3 waitlists total. Not sure what to do.

And you may be right about after May 15. In fact, just logically speaking, I would assume that you are.
 
Because I love the list threads so much...
How about making a list of your name, the month you interviewed/waitlisted, and the month you were ultimately accepted? 😀

We're still not sure about month-to-month waitlist movement before May 15, is that right?

Do they send letters out to everyone? After the lady said I had a spot in the 2007 class, she verified my address to send a letter.

yeah... I couldn't even recognize my parent's address at that point, but yeah she mentioned a letter
 
Yea, i didn't really know what was going on at that point either...I was just curious since I wasn't paying much attention after I realized I was in
