What is the average work week like for the orthopedists out there? I am wondering if it is possible to work less than 60hrs/wk. Do you know anyone who is practicing less than the regular load.
And are there any specialists using OMM in the field to support the surgical procedures?
Thanks...Toran

Well, I guess you could work part time, but you would still need to take beeper call...I personally don't see it happening...or why would you want to go through a residency like that and only work part time? A surgeons job is to perform surgery, and hopefully do it well. Practice, as with anything is needed. A part time surgeon does not inspire confidence in me!! Would you even trust a part-time dentist?

With regard to OMM, refer to a PT that specializes in orthopedic or manual work...there are tons of them. I worked with some really good ones, far better than the DO's that taught OMT in school!
