You know, I'm not quite positive on this one, but I believe Andrew R. Nixon is/ was "DEE DEE" or Denise Criswell "Nakajima 's" professor for her dissertation. I never received confirmation that she did INDEED actually finish, or go to a Doctorate program (the same goes for Monroe/Yacas), but I think Andrew R. Nixon gave them the Ed.D's or whatever it is that allows them to call theirselves "Doctors."
Someone might want to investigate that.
Did Monroe and Criswell buy a Doctorate Degree from Nixon? Did they go to and finish a Doctorate program at a legit school, etc?I believe that Andrew R. Nixon gave them a Doctorate degree in exchange of $$$$ from Pacific Educational Services, Monroe and Criswell LLC, Pacific Blue Venture, etc.
What else is the Relation between these INDIVIDUALS?
HmmmmmmmmmSomething to think about. 😕

Anyone have any information regarding Nixon's relation w/Criswell & Monroe?

I did a little more digging based on my knowledge of Monroe/Criswell and the email address for Nixon in an earlier post. I knew that Monroe and Criswell had attended Nova Southeastern's Las Vegas Campus and enrolled in their EdD program while they were employed at USN. If you go on the Nova Southeastern website, link to their Las Vegas site and pull up the PDF of their student handbook...voila! Dr. Andy Nixon is one of the faculty for the EdD program specializing in Organizational Leadership ( 😱 how ironic is that?!?) I'd like to see the courses for that program!!! Scamming students 101...Jacking up class size for fun and profit...Twisting the legal system to remove "problem" students...Excrement rolls downhill: Finding the perfect scapegoat for when schemes go awry....Sorry! I usually take the high road, but these guys bring out the worst in me.

Actually, don't misread this...I don't know much about Nova or their programs or branches and can't pass judgement on whether or not Monroe and Criswell have "legit" degrees or not. Just thought I'd pass on what I found out about Andrew Nixon.

I tell it how I see it. I would like to go into medicine, but my GPA is only 3.2. So I'm doing pharmacy. I just want to bankroll a 6 figure salary by counting pills.

If you tried to get into my school with a 3.2, you can expect to get a rejection letter two weeks later. Unless you got a 95+ PCAT, a perfect interview, about two years of pharmacy experience, and know a person in the administration.

Nova is a very good school. Usually, they are first class in everything they do.

Those two houses are right near each other, like 2 blocks away, same housing community. How strange is that? She owns one house, and her ex husband JUST sold her the other house on 06/15/05? Hmm...odd

Lets see what people can find out more about Nova and Nixon's involvement. It is amazing how deep the rabbit hole goes, isn't it?

I bet all this humiliation will force Hasan to quit within a few weeks. It's a snowball effect from here on.

This is turning out to be quite an interesting month for HICP. Lets stay tuned.
All4MyDaughter,
Many thanks for your Kentucky info. Much appreciation.

What ever happened to this man, Richard Moore? I heard that he spoke to all the students during orientation week at the HICP and all of a sudden disappeared from the entire picture . . . at least physically anyways. I think his name is still listed in the HICP email address list. It makes you wonder to what extent of a relationship he has/had with the founders. It has been said that he seemed like a very nice man who presented himself well, so maybe he can give some background on the earlier events that took place at HICP. Or maybe not? But it wouldn't hurt to find out, especially if somebody knew how to contact him.

Does anyone on SDN know much about him? He probably still lives in Nevada.

Yeah right. He has absolutely no reputation left, why would he quit because of humiliation? He is clearly in it for the money and he is getting paid plenty I'm sure.

I drove by the two residences owned by Denise Criswell in Las Vegas today. Both are VERY nice homes. The one on 371 Barletta Ave is pretty nice, at least $400,000, which is a hell of a lot in Las Vegas (California is also double, usually triple the value of Vegas homes). 3 car garage, nice desert landscaping and the house looked very big from the outside. The home on 112 Staten Island Ave is even nicer. This one is in a gated community and the name of the community is Park Avenue Estates, doesnt exactly sound like a slum does it? This house was also very large and had to cost at least $400,000, 2200sq feet.

this might be the address of the agent (lawyer) so doesn't anyone know where monroe and criswell are right now?
I also drove to this address. It is actually an office for two certified public accountants, probably to manage around 7 million dollars worth of tuition money.

After seeing that picture, yes I remember him. I believe he just gave a motivational speech during orientation, I don't remember a whole lot about what he said. He just encouraged us that everything would be great and we have solid people running the school... 🙄

scroll to the middle of this article, it seems he may have just been a hired speaker by monroe because he is considered one of the best public speakers:
http://www.reviewjournal.com/bestoflv/1999/publishers/pp-speaker.html

Also, this article says he is FORMER president:

Hmm.. and this is interesting, CCSN wants to funnel students to a jewish school, which of course would have major constitutional complications, regardless, read what Dina Titus has to say about Richard Moore, by the way, Titus I believe is running for Governor.

Is Moore crooked too? Is that why he is involved with Monroe?

{{{Jill Derby and Doug Hill, Northern regents who stop at nothing to harm higher education in Southern Nevada, voted to fire Remington. They were among the biggest supporters of one-time CCSN President Richard Moore, whom Nichols helped protect. During Moore's tenure, then-Assemblyman Dario Herrera worked for CCSN and used college employees to aid his campaign, and Moore's minions tried to hire Wendell Williams as a gaming instructor. Moore donated CCSN money to local chambers of commerce and community organizations, paid longtime Henderson lobbyist Bob Campbell on the side, campaigned for Kenny Guinn at a mandatory faculty/staff meeting and hired former Sen. Paul Laxalt to lobby for CCSN in Washington for $10,000 a month. Derby and Hill also have supported UNR administrators whose shenanigans would have left Chicago's Daley machine and New York's Tammany Hall awestruck. If their vote to oust Remington doesn't reveal their agenda, nothing will. }}}

{{{¥ From 1994 to 2001, Richard Moore and two interim successors ran CCSN. To say corruption flourished would be an understatement akin to comparing the Grand Canyon with a pinhole, yet the regents and chancellor were tolerant, even encouraging. Different regents, different results? Or just not a president to be feared?

¥ The coalitions in this vote were fascinating. The majority consisted of Northerners Jill Derby and Doug Hill, whose actions during Moore's administration made clear that if he relieved himself on the carpet, they would have claimed the toilet suddenly moved; Marcia Bandera, friend and successor of Elko's Dorothy Gallagher, who viewed Moore similarly and knifed Remington in his last years at Great Basin College; new regents Stavros Anthony, Bret Whipple and Jack Schofield, whom Assemblywoman and CCSN administrator Chris Guinchigliani suspects of wanting to avenge her efforts to make their jobs appointed; and Tom Kirkpatrick, who attacks just about all forms of corruption in the system.

¥ When Remington came to CCSN, I asked him in a meeting how he could overcome the previous culture of corruption. Essentially, he felt if people were free to do their jobs, everything would work out. It was a marked change from Moore, and we welcomed it. But some underlings, holdovers and new hires failed to adapt to that style.

Moore survived; Remington didn't. The regents felt Remington did badly, but reached a conclusion out of public view, which automatically calls the decision into question. The Open Meeting Law may not have been all that was violated. We were, too.}}}

{{{The folks central to Miller's story in Teaching Amidst the Neon Palm Trees -- school president Richard Moore, senior vice president Robert Silverman and student government advisor Larry Braxton -- are portrayed as imperious and amateurish. All have since left CCSN.

In Teaching Amidst the Neon Palm Trees, Miller paints Moore, the CCSN president who brought a steady stream of controversy to the school during his contentious tenure, as an eccentric egotist who allowed his underlings -- Silverman and Braxton -- to handle his dirty work. Silverman tried to become president of CCSN following Moore's departure only to withdraw his name after he found insufficient support.}}}

Pretty interesting stuff, sounds like all controversial figures are now all on board the same sinking ship.

You should contact those reporters for that story and inform them of their latest schemes. Also whats with you guys driving around his house? What do you plan to accomplish? If you are going to battle him in court then do so but I dont see the point in driving by the guys house all the time unless you are looking for TROUBLE. Play this smart.

Yeah, driving around is one thing...now if you parked yourself outside with a pair of binoculars, a parabolic microphone and a video camera, well, that's a different story all together. 😉

What about dressing up as the Orkin man to get inside and look around? Or the cable guy? Or maybe they could send a "professional escort" over to Monroe's house as a "gift" and have her wear a wire! Or send Criswell a big bouquet of flowers with a listening device in the vase. Would that be inappropriate?

I think I watch too many cheesy detective shows.

If the escort were a tall white blonde, Monroe would open the door in a HEARTBEAT ....and put ones all over her, courtesey of HICP students.

This is the kind of person he really is. You really might find him in Vegas at the strip joints, or the sleezy ranches in Nevada (spending HICP tuition).

I'm serious. 😀

Something I found funny is that parents of a high school student on the basketball team did the same thing to the coach who was yelling at the kids during practice and after the games. This lead (in part or in whole) to his firing. The civil case ended this week and the parents now owe the coach 28 large for lost salary! 😀

Moral of the story, if you are going to record someone do it on film as a video remembrance! :meanie:

Good idea, I will try to locate those reporters and inform them of Moore's latest escapade.

Well, actually I have heard that certain important people cant find monroe, therefore I am very curious to find out if he is located at one of these homes.

Everyone check the starbulletin tomorrow, I'm told there will be something very juicy :meanie:

KHON Fox news in Hawaii had the state's lawsuit against HICP as their lead story tonight. They interviewed a local girl who dropped out in April. She had been happy to be able to stay in Hawaii and get a pharmacy degree but realized it was a sham. She hopes everyone gets their money back since she had to take out a private loan for the tuition, like so many students did. I can't remember what the state's lawsuit involves, deceptive business practices maybe and they mentioned about not being accredited. The reporter said the school would respond to the state's lawsuit at the appropriate time.

The dean of the school released a statement today, saying they take this matter seriously and will address the issues raised by the state at the appropriate time.

The dean of the school or Scott Banks?

Do you remember the local girl's name? Leeanne? or Angelica?

I'm glad to see the Tv news finally get on board, I wish I was still in Hawaii to see it and hear it though. Tomorrows Star Bulletin will have a complete story, Stewart has been working full time on this story, I can't wait to read the list of charges. I really cannot wait to hear what the slime balls have to say about all this, "uhh, we didn't know any better, no one told us we couldn't lie to students and steal their money, since when has there been laws against fraud?" "uhh, kulia 'ika nu'u?" "umm, I'm a big fat liar, but the students knew what they were getting into, they knew we were raping them from day one"

I think it would be safe to assume that HICP is out of business. The State of Hawaii is pursuing reimbursement for students as well as a operation cease & desist in their lawsuit according to the KHON transcript.

Leanne

Well, it looks like all the major local TV stations did do a story on this:

http://www.thehawaiichannel.com/education/4779203/detail.html

...and they're hiding from reporters!

Reporter Caroline Sluyter went to the school's administrative offices at the Hawaii College of Pharmacy. She knocked on the door and talked to someone through the door, but no one went out to speak to her.

UPDATE: Video of the news report has been added to the page. Leanne is interviewed on camera.

Leanne served on student government as a secretary. She knows how difficult it was to deal with Monroe, Criswell, and Hasan. She left a few months earlier than I did and I'm glad she is speaking out about it now. It is not right for students to be "ripped off" like this and I'm so relieved something is being done!

Go DCCA, Go Media, Go Students !!!

It nice to see our laws are protecting innocent students.

Congrats to Pej, Amata, Poo, on your court victory!
Best of luck on your future endevors!

According to allegation #9, PES pretty much lied to the state of Hawaii from the get go...the whole document seems to indicate that the state has the goods on HICP. 15 counts!

Actually, Count V is quite a good one. It is entitled: "Illegal Acceptance of Payments".

During the course of its operations, PES accepted and received tuition payments and other fees from students despite not being in compliance with all of the requirements of Hawaii Rev. Stat. Chapter 446E.

Which is pretty good grounds for them to get sued into oblivion by HI for every dollar they've collected.

They couldn't even argue: "Well, they paid money and got an education", since they weren't allowed to collect any funds in the first place.

On a side note, how many students will be in HI over the next year? Presumably, they will need some witnesses to appear in court. Hopefully everyone won't be going back to the mainland and will be unwilling to come back...

To search up these HI Revised Statutes Chapters, go to http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/site1/docs/docs.asp?press1=docs and type in the chapter at the bottom-most form and hit enter. It should come up as the first hit.

Here's some excerpts from Chapter 446E:
(b) Where promotional material for an unaccredited institution consists of an advertisement in a periodical published by a person or entity that is not affiliated with the unaccredited institution, the disclosure required in subsection (a) may be abbreviated to state as follows: NOT ACCREDITED BY AN AGENCY RECOGNIZED BY THE U.S. SECRETARY OF EDUCATION. The disclosure required under this subsection shall be made in a type size as large or larger than any other text in the advertisement.

And slightly out of context:
(e) No unaccredited institution that operates in or from the State or has a presence in this State shall accept or receive any tuition payment or other fee from or on behalf of a student unless the institution complies with all of the requirements of this chapter.

Not to mention that most counts are separate and individual counts, so multiply all of those by 240 plus each time they did it, there is over a few thousand counts in that document, simply amazing.

I'll take the master bedroom on Staten Island Avenue please, thank you. 😎

According to Counts XIII and XIV, HI is trying to get Monroe and Criswell personally liable for what had occurred, which I think will be grounds for quite the battle in court, and absolutely necessary in order to get any form of financial retribution. Even if the State of Hawaii wins its case, it may have a hard time getting to their personal assets if they're not in state, and presumably, they are not.

I strongly recommend everyone reads that pdf file of the State's filing. Every page is pure gold, just like the DMCA and Patriot Act, but in favour of consumers.

Now then, where is the Money? Is it still around or are people going to be paid 100 bucks a year for the next 100 years?
