PASS and MATCH question

1. If a school accepts PASS and MATCH are you better off just applying for pass?
2. why isnt' a school just PASS or just Match?
3. I heard that nonmatch (pass) schools are not as competitive as match and that if you are worried about your standings and extracurriculars, nonmatch is the way to go.

I think you need to do a lot more research.

1. If a school does Pass and Match, you have to register to BOTH
2. PASS is to apply to different places, where MATCH is a ranking system where you and the place rank each other in order of preference. Its a way for the place to get their most favorite candidates and for you to get your top preferences
3. Not sure about this but I would think they are similar in competitiveness.
