Schools like Columbia and penn have a whole separate day to interview the people who apply from their school because they usually have 30-40 people per class apply for ortho. But not all schools do courtesy interviews. It’s just program dependent.

Does this cycle have a longer turnaround for the interview invites? I called NYU and a few other programs, and the administrative staff were saying that the interview invites will be sent in the first week of October. This is just the interview invites and not the official interview dates. But that means interviews for some programs will be towards the end of October or even early November. I was under the assumption that most programs should be done with interviews by end of October as programs and students should be ranking each other towards end of October. It may be due to competitiveness or more applicants applying this cycle, but it just feels like it is taking forever.

I got a call from the UOP as well. I wanted to verify the social as I heard the interview dates were 10/13 or 10/14, but the phone cut off a bit for when he was saying the social was. It seemed that he said the social will be on 10/12, but he said he will send an email for more detail.

I know many people who have been accepted without any research experience, normally at the top of their class.
UIC was a lot of research and ethics questions. Six rooms 15min each. Each room had 2-3 faculty, one room was just chilling with residents.Hey guys! Is there a thread for interview questions asked for orthodontics interviews like there was for dental school?

I need advice! I got an interview from UoP and UF back to back days. Due to having to fly from coast to coast, I would have to miss one of the socials. Which social would you miss? Is this going to negatively impact my chances? Should I make them aware on why I will be missing the social?
