Do program directors generally not respond to emails?

Pediatric Dentist here. This is a busy time of year. They are typically dealing with newly minted first year residents. So, email replies may be hit-or-miss

There was an article in Pediatric Dentistry somewhat recently that reported about half of residents had some kind of practice experience before they started residency. Which schools favor that? I have no idea.

In my experience, generally Hospital programs favor this. But it totally depends on the applicant, the school, the timing, etc.
