And then I went and did something similar in Trilt's favorite things game . . . that move deserved much less respect.

Someone just hopes the veterans are stupid slash blinded by ego enough to actually believe that "Sandy is lying, she's not the role she claimed" translates to "I'm not aware of even the basic premise of this game but somehow lucked into finding the onnnne tenant of gameplay that will almost always get someone lynched" just because ImAVet is a new player. Come on.

And the first "noob" to do what you're talking about was me, after playing 10+ games and certainly not confused about the game's structure--because we knew I had been seered and wanted to take down a major threat before the info got out and I was done for. You don't know what was going on behind the scenes. But you do know the way "Sandy is lying, she isn't Peter, now let me disappear until lynch close" is worded does not sound like an accident.

I didn't say a vet was coaching her. Nor did I say I thought vets would fall for it, only that that's what they're hoping will happen. They're hanging their hat on the chance that vets (whether as old hat as you or a junior class, define as you like) will think "eh, noobs are dumb" and give her a break.

Okay. We're ready for the next bit of gory news? Good. Because while vethead was being . . . um, executed, someone on the other side of the island was also having a bad night. Dead is @genny, Smee, an Unaffiliated Pirate who could kill every four nights, and whose kill would go into affect during the following day cycle.

Dead also is @vetmedhead, or Robt. Mullins, an Unaffiliated Pirate who could seer a player every night, and who could use other player's roles as cover.

It is now Day 5. There are 17 players left.

the thing about plurality is that it should be used as a strategy. You shouldn't just rush into plurality all day, every day just because you want to lynch someone quickly. It should give you pause to think "would the wolves be pushing this over? Is this really the right move?"

Yes, it sucks for people at work all day. But I feel like that comes up a lot for a game that mostly takes place during that same day. I mean, I totally get having to be at work. Usually the day cycles are similar enough that you should know if you aren't going to be around for voting during the majority of the day.

I guess the one thing I'm taking away from the champion game is that maybe 24 hr day cycles with a 6-12 hr night cycle would be beneficial here.
