Just got caught up on things. I feel a little better about Jilary now that the 3rd kill is accounted for. I don't think I really believe that AM doesn't know who she's killing though, the timing just seems too perfect.

I was implying you, the leader in the Lynch, had much more to lose by trying to hide behind a fraction than not.

Hiding the fact that you are a pirate, and several pirates have had sketchy roles, is like you, someone under the gun, is worried such a reveal would be bad for you. It's just like how all villagers shouldn't just out themselves, but when under the gun, ones role is usually the best way to avoid the Lynch unless they can't defend themselves well.

Well, your question was too broad, and not what I was implying when I said it was bull**** you weren't going to reveal for your reasons, cause if this AM information didn't come out, I was going to be upset if you weren't lynched for your sketchiness.

But to answer your question, yes, fractions should keep some secrecy to their fraction because in the end, we aren't all aligned. But you outing your role wouldn't kill you now, might help you get recruited by your group, and it would only be endgame where knowing you were part of the pirate group would make fraction vs fraction killing a risk for you. Just like I'm not going to out my fraction (but I'm sure it's not hard to guess at this point) or my role, despite it having no real value

If I were chaos or a wolf, it'd be pretty dumb to put myself on the spot by mentioning my drowning ability after an important player drowned. It'd be way easier for me to lie and just pin the blame on Jilary for the third kill since everyone else already made that assumption.

Reading back I see yes, you just admitted to being the mermaid, and then when pressed admitted to drowning kaydubs last night.

Being solo and having an ability to win all by yourself makes you a lone wolf, a chaos or something not villager. Especially in a faction game where there are defined groups and most unaffiliated it seems their purpose or goal is to become affiliated

MQ and ImAVet also had a solo role and weren't wolves/chaos.

RM's ability was moving around the roster (so he would "enter the lagoon") and he seemed to have died by drowning also... was that you too?

I wouldn't be surprised if each of our solo roles had their own win condition... making a "faction" of pseudo-chaos roles seems very much like something PBC would do.
