PGY1 Resident Research - Help!

Hi all....

My PGY1 residency is going great! However, my residency does not provide residents with a list of research ideas that may benefit the hospital. Instead they require residents to implement a type of pharmacy clinical service and prospectively evaluate the benefits. I'm honestly out of ideas and have tried brainstorming for a month now. I can only think of retrospective ideas for the hospital (hospital focuses on critical care, general medicine and psych). This is a long shot - but figured I would ask!

That's tough - it's super hard to get it through IRB, prospectively make a change, and have enough useful data by February or so that you can present in the spring at your regional residency conference!

What are your practice interests? Have you identified anything so far in your first 6 weeks?
