Hi everyone,

It is that time of year to share what psychology doctorate programs people applied to during the Fall 2021, and when they received interview invites. Also, if you were accepted or not/your final decision.

Please provide what faculty you wanted to work with as well and who contacted you specifically. This information is very helpful.

Please follow the template below:

School:
Program (clinical, developmental, social, etc.):
PhD or PsyD:
Faculty you wanted to work with:
Faculty that contacted you:
Date Invitation received:
Date the Interview is scheduled for:
How were you contacted (email, phone, etc.):
Accepted into program: yes/no/NA

For those who applied to doctoral programs and unfortunately don't end up getting acceptances (don't worry, I was one of those people at one time), check our M.S. in Psychological Sciences program at M.S. in Psychology - Psychological Sciences Graduate Programs | Western Kentucky University. We offer stipends and at least partial (sometimes full dependent upon grant funding) tuition waivers. Apps are due March 1 but it's a soft deadline and we'll accept applications after the deadline. I'll have funding for two students next year, so check us out if doctoral programs don't work out this time around! Feel free to email me with questions at [email protected].

Based on some recent threads, LIU Post is not a good option:

Also, Touro is brand new and not APA-accredited, so that's a big risk.

Schools: Hofstra, Pace, Kean, Rutgers, LIU
Program (clinical, developmental, social, etc.): Clinical/School PsyDs
PhD or PsyD: PsyD
Faculty you wanted to work with: n/a
Faculty that contacted you: n/a
Date Invitation received: for Kean: early February, for Hofstra: Feb 22
Date the Interview is scheduled for: Hofstra and Kean interviews just finished, have not heard at all from Rutgers/LIU/Pace
How were you contacted (email, phone, etc.): email
Accepted into program: not sure yet

Hello! As listed above, I just completed interviews for Hofstra and Kean, and have had awesome experiences with their faculty. Nothing yet from Pace or Rutgers, and LIU said they may not take a class this year.

1. Has anyone heard from Pace PsyD?
2. If a program enrolls a cohort of 12-13, how many do they actually accept?

thanks in advance!

How many students are accepted vs those that matriculate varies wildly from program to program and even faculty to faculty.

DU sent out an email saying that they would extend all invites by April 1st. I haven't heard anything yet.
