Thanks. Yep, every so often we get a dog that ate the owner's pack of chewing gum & have to make them vomit.

I didn't hear about this until vet school, so thanks for posting for everyone. One of my males ate half a pack of Orbit back in March or so and though I don't have a glucometer, he did seem slightly lethargic. Fortunately, he's 60 lbs and not 15 lbs, or we could have had a big problem.
 
We had a miniature dachshund that ate a whole pack of cinnamon orbitz gum and it had to be the most pleasant smelling vomit I've ever smelled:p
 
Since we're on the topic of toxic things to dogs (kind of), I heard the other day that avocados (?!) are toxic to dogs? Is this true?
