I just received an email from Tampa VA (neuropsych-match) stating they would not be offering an interview, although one could be offered at a later time. However, they stated they planned to include me in their APPCN rank order list. Sounds like deferred. 🤷🏻‍♀️ On to the next one.🙃

I haven't heard from them yet either. One of the PI's did tell me that it appears to be a "very competitive" applicant pool this year. Judging by past years, it seems like they are a bit variable on timing. Though they may have been sent out already.

I did not ever hear from them. I do know they are a really competitive site given their research and pretty close association with Yale SOM. Though, I guess it's not over til it's over? Subjectively, it seems like many sites are sending out later invites compared to previous years threads.

They have started. I’ve received a “we have made offers” email, from one site I interviewed with last week, early today.

I know someone who accepted a non-match offer at a peds neuro site at an academic medical center around Christmas time but I think it's super variable.
