hello,
can an international dentist practise in canada after clearing the NDEB exam? i mean do you get license to practise right away or is it that you have to join a dental school like how it is in USA?
and also what is the scope and possibility of getting a PR and job opportunity after that?
please help!!!

you can find a job but not as a dentist am afraid untill you clear the exams

There is a process set up to get licensed to practice dentistry in Canada. First they do your credentials evaluation to determine if your education is sufficient. Then you would have to take 4 difficult and very expensive exams.
Passing rate is low
This process has been in place for several years already, so market is pretty saturated. You may be able to get a job and PR if you went to Northern Territories

did you take the exams?

All information is in the NDEB website.
Basically 3 exams for non certified dental graduates.
Afk is written. Fundamental knowledge . After you pass this one you can take next 2 exams:
ACJ is written. Clinical judgement.
ACS is like a bench test in manikins. 2 day exam. $7000 as of 2018.
Only 3 chances to pass each exam.
If you clear them all you are given a certificate of thr NDEB certification process. Then you have to pass de dental board exam, which is basically like the AFK. And then you pass the OSCE. Then a jurisprudence test in the province you want to work. And you're good to go.
It is a really difficult process for sure.
