I had a "Are interviews a way to keep out Asians from Med School?" thread last night... I think I raised some interesting points. But people just started calling me a racist left and right so I deleted it

I hear you guys will have construction expansion for your stadium. $60mm raised I believe. Didn't it use to be farm land or something? Maybe drainage problems because of that.

my point was that asian people tend to not assimilate in to american culture... a culture which requires everyone to be a BS artist and a master in small talk. Asians tend to be very straight to the point and they don't socialize with people outside their ethnic groups... :oops:

really? I know a lot of asians who are masters of small talk (ok maybe just me). I think just saying asian people is too broad anyway, but i do know what you mean by asians not socializing with people outside their ethnic groups. But I think every ethnic group sorta hangs out with themselves more or less.

yes... u of michigan touted their "diversity" and tried to protect it by any means necessary when I was there... even though when you walked around school you could blatantly see that people segregated themselves by race... I had black, asian, and indian friends, but they were from suburb "white" areas, which meant they were already comfortable in those surroundings

there are lots of polish people on there... i think something like 6-8% of the US is of polish heritage (mostly in northern cities like chicago, detroit, cleveland, buffalo, pittsburgh, new york and conneticut

Actually, I'm mostly Canadian anyway. My dad's side is Polish, but it was my great grandfather that came from Poland. My mum's side is Ukrainian, but she was born in Canada. I don't speak either language, but I love the food :love:

it's a really weird law that isn't a law... some towns have legal prositution (like Windsor, right across from Detroit) I don't remember the specifics though

I watched some documentary/show a few years back about legal prostitution in Nevada. Some woman, married and with an young child, was one of these hookers. That's seriously ****ed up imo. What the hell do you tell your neighbors and son's friends let alone his school teachers.
