So what you're saying is that all the Learning and Cognitive Psych classes I took in ugrad are actually going to help out?

SWEET! 🙂

I wonder sometimes if I'm going to fall in love with neurology because of my background. I doubt I'll like psych because I was never that in to the abnormal stuff.

psych the rotation was so different from psych the course. something about actually interviewing schizophrenics and bipolars really makes it stick. im telling you, i think i did so well in that rotation just because i was so freaking interested in it. def one of my favs this year but i went to med school to do put in chest tubes, read EKGs and shock people with paddles.... 😀

omg if they ask me in my interview what books i've read recently....um....wth am i supposed to say?

just be honest and say youve been so focused with your masters program that you havent really had time to read but that when you do, you tend to go for..... *insert genre or author* 🙂

For me it was all about learning how people process information and how our brains work. That was the part I really loved. Also how our own bias affects how we view the world (which is probably why I was on track to end up in cross-cultural). I just find those patterns really fascinating.

yeah you see, thats not me. give me some paddles, *clear*...........

😀

now 1 mg IV push of epi....

ok, stand back...... *clear*

Yeah. It was almost too much. 🙂

So are you done taking classes yet???? :meanie:
Yes - though I was thinking about signing up for an Eastern Thought Phil class over the summer. I didn't this semester because I couldn't justify the expense. But now it's over the internet

I'm tutoring this afternoon for a few hours and again tommorrow night. But it's all Genetics which I don't need to prep for. Organic tutoring on the other hand... 😳

speaking of psych, I know someone that is trying to match into it (very late) ... I really just wonder how some people have the patience to deal with some of the issues. More power to them b/c I know I have problems dealing with my own issues, although self-medication might work 😉

blah, i had to be in the hospital this morning from 530-900 for pre-rounds and rounds but now i have the rest of the day off. 😀

best part of starting early is finishing early. though had it been my choice, we would have rounded at like 2pm.

😎 I'm doing my work this afternoon so I can catch up, but I got to sleep in. 😀

Please have fun...and not in the class way.

Okay folks, back to studying for my psychopath exam.

*Step 1: Write up your master plan for world domination.
*Step 2: Figure out who'll be first against the wall.
*Step 3:..........

:meanie:

procedures are such a rush. im such a baby still, i get excited over blood draws and taking out foleys or staples.

hopefully in a few years ill be cracking chests in the trauma bays and performing cardiac massage without even having a second thought.

Wow that's cool. I have never liked doing procedures.

 But phil class IS fun 😉

:luck: on your exam 🙂 (And your damn story thing is still in my head though I don't remember what any of it stood for 😡 )

i know! i had like 8 episodes in my tivo that i had been meaning to see. i just kept watching other stuff ahead of it. after i started watching it i got hooked, i watched all 8 of those episodes over a couple of days.

you and i seem to like the same TV.

I started watching Heroes in the fall but got tired of it and stopped watching it. 🙁

you guys are awesome. yeah, i dont care where i go in the match since ill have to leave miami no matter what. preferably it would be someplace with seasons but i dont care if i stay in florida or go to texas, georgia, the carolinas, michigan, idaho, whatever. so yeah, im applying broadly and just crossing my fingers.

😀 👍

You have to at least come interview here. We can hang.

My DVR list - Scrubs, 30 Rock, GA, ER, American Idol, House, Yummy Mummy. I think that's it. 😉

And Mush, I don't think most of America thinks Americal Idol is "done" yet or it wouldn't be the #1 show on TV. 😀 😉 I LOVE that show.

I LOVED psych (had a brief crisis of considering withdrawing from path and applying to psych - glad I didn't do that!) but HATED neuro.

Beary!!! 😍

Are you more rested now though? 🙂 It was so great to catch you online last night 😀

Yeah it was great!! I am MUCH more rested. My folks were like, "Wow, you sound like your old self!" I have been a zombie this last week.

Really glad we got to catch up! 😍
