Its sad to hear about her death, but Id be hesitant to call her the modern day marilyn monroe given her history. Marilyn monroe was THE sex icon back then, and sadly Anna Nicole didnt fit that mold today, at least in my opinion. If anything I would think that Pam Anderson would fit the role better given that she is probably the sex icon of the 90s.

Wasn't there also a line on cnn that said that she had flu like symptoms the past few days too?

I know this is not Anna Nicole related but did anyone hear about this? Maybe it's just my nerdy side speaking but doesn't this sound suspiciously a lot like "primative" teleporting? I don't know anything about this stuff so I could be way off too but I did have a physics prof that told me that most of the time physicists are looking for ways to make science fiction a reality but they have to cover it up with practical uses so people don't get mad about where their money is being spent.

Yesterday after I parked my car I was getting out while pulling my wallet out of my purse to get change for the meter and my keys fell out and landed in the floor of my car. I heard the noise of them falling but didn't realize that is what the noise was until I was leaving and couldn't find my keys. Well my meter was out and I didn't have any more change but my husband works 5 blocks away so I walked to his work (it was 10 degrees outside) and got his key for my car. When I got back there was a parking ticket on my car. Not a good day.

Call her tragic, Call her flawed, Call me a coward behind a computer screen (really I don't care what you think about me, this is the internet)...
But we can all agree that she was a fake, materialistic woman who (assuming the pundits are right about her dying of an overdose of methadone or some other drug instead of some natural cause) has just done a great injustice to her baby daughter by being irresponsible and reckless. Through my "offensive " joke, I was suggesting that people's actions have consequences (e.g. DEATH) and that responsibility is a serious matter (unlike making fun of dead celebrities on an SDN forum). In my opinion, American society would be better without marginal, drama-seeking celebrities such as Anna Nicole.

Seriously, people like her and Brittney Spears are just rich versions of a lot of the very people most of you all on here would have no problem making fun of. I mean for god's sake she was a playboy play mate, not some respectable notable character. Why people are making a big deal about her death, on here, I don't know. I'd guess it has to do with the fact that's she's a millionaire. Otherwise, no one here would care one damn regardless of whether or not a child was left behind. If they did, then we'd see a lot more people on here talking about those kids who get screwed by drug abusers and alcoholics from poorer backgrounds that surround people in every day society.

This is my problem with the people who are being so overly self righteous in this thread. Yes, a person died and that's not something to celebrate. But give people a break! There is nothing super respectable that we should all start kissing butt and shedding tears for her death either.

That was waaaaaaaaaay too intense for me. And if they kill off Meredith, I will be writing them an angrily worded letter. I've been watching since day one, she's the star....

And it was nice to see CPR being done correctly on TV (or at least an attempt). I don't think I've ever seen that before.

I didn't like that episode...Meridith can't die, it will kill the show. And what was up with the "after-life" scene. It didn't make sense to me, but nonetheless, I will be tuning in next week...

The CPR might not have been horrible (there were still bent elbows), but the rest of it was totally wrong.
A) No ALS in the field on an MCI.
B) Meredith came out of the water without a pulse. No pulse means she's a black tag, so she is dead on scene.
C) 4 rounds of ACLS drugs and 20 min CPR time (+ unknown down time) means they stop.
SHE IS (OR SHOULD BE) DEAD.

Agreed except for point C. "She ain't dead, until she's warm and dead". Note: I don't watch the show so I don't know if this applies or not.
