Hi,

This probably varies by program.
We don't rank everyone we interview. There are some applicants whose interview day went so poorly (and not countered by an impressive-enough paper application, e.g. scores, grades, etc) that we would rather take a chance with someone else in the scramble than take a chance with them.

when you say "interview day went poorly" what do you mean by that..what is a poor interview?

Also do you which schools usually don't rank everyone? is it the top tier schools...what about mid tier schools like UC or Rush?

Most programs of any reasonable caliber will have people they don't rank. Just like most applicants with options will not rank some programs they interview at.

Even if you could know the answer to your question (which you can't so please don't ask again), how would that in any way help you out? Are you going to leave programs which do this (i.e. pretty much all of them) off your list on the off chance that the one applicant they decide not to rank this year is you? That would be dumb simply because putting a program on your list that didn't rank you would have no effect on the programs you placed after it on your list.

It's becoming tedious but I'll say it again...rank programs in the order you want to go to them. The Match algorithm (if not necessarily the overall process) favors the applicant so attempting to game the system will make you an unhappy camper.

Haha. You're getting cranky. Nice to see you stepping it up since I've had to tone it down.
