My husband's younger brother has some pretty serious anger/behavioral/agression issues and has been getting into trouble for years (including jail). He recently got a kitten from a friend that was giving them away (they picked up a stray off the street and she was very pregnant) and the entire time we've been like "Nooooooo... that is not a good idea" because he doesn't have a steady job right now, very little money, and isn't responsible in the least. BUT, husband just got a call from his grandmother (who his brother lives with right now) and for the past three weeks that he's had this kitten he has been a completely different person. Nice and respectful to his grandmother, helps out around the house, and completely dotes on this cat. Talks to her in a baby voice and tells her how much he loves her. Is looking for a better job so he can afford cat food and vaccines. His grandmother is amazed. We are too! I hope it continues to go well but so far this tiny kitten therapist is seriously helping this kid. 😍
