Congratulations! I can't wait until I can finally apply for that. Are you interested in fish or mammal aquatic medicine?

Both actually. I love me the aquatics 🙂

Congrats! I have no idea what that is but it sounds awesome so I'm looking it up ASAP. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thanks!! I'm really stoked for it!

So jealous. I'm on the waitlist. =( Kinda bummed but what can I do...
Hopefully you can come too! I'd love to meet you 😀

One of my awesome classmates was as well! Congrats!
Thanks!!! I look forward to meeting some new people :biglove:

My Friend With a Cat (what doesn't everyone have one of those?) texted me with "OMG, my cat did this, is she dying?" again, and for once I actually knew what the problem was. Yay! Learning! On the other hand, I think this has cemented my position as Dispenser of Half-Informed Veterinary Advice. Whoops. 😳

I'm not even in vet school nor will I be ready to apply for a couple years and all my friends/acquaintances/engineering colleagues/family/etc. assume I know everything about their pet's ailment because I work in a vet hospital and aspire to be a veterinarian. Drives me bonkers! Every time I pretty much say you should make an appointment with Suzy's vet if X ailment has you concerned enough to be asking about it.

Just got done with a 12 hour day of interviews. My feet are killing me, my brain hurts, and my voice is gone. But it was lots of fun and gratifying to know us being there helped the future hopefuls feel a little more at ease. Good luck to everyone who interviewed today. :luck:

I took Ivy lure coursing today and she was awesome! She seems to really like it, so if I can get her papers (to register with the AKC) and there are some CATs in Georgia, we may try for some titles! 😎

We also met a guy there who talked to us about Varsity Balls and even though they're a bit pricy, I might try it. Ivy is becoming destructive and this should hold up against her! We also might be taking dock diving lessons from him to see if our dogs like that.

I had a lot of fun today. Agility is being put off for now just in case (at least the jumping; will still be working on the weaving), so trying some other stuff. She really seemed to enjoy herself too and had fun playing with those tiny whippets. 🙂

Whippets! 😍 😍 I love greyhound-type dogs.

I remember when I lived in an apartment I could here EVERYTHING from my upstairs neighbor. One night around 11 I hear her sprint across her apartment and burst out of her door and stampede and scream down the stairs "HEYYYYY HEYYY (my name) HELPPP" and she slams into my door. I open my front door completely alarmed and she hands me her seizuring black pom and screams "DO SOMETHING!" Haha. I ended up just putting the dog down to get my keys and it stopped seizing like 4 second later. She asked me what I did and I told her "nothing, sometimes you just have to let them run their course". I told her to take it to the em vet just incase she got into something. Apparently she had never had a seizure (that she saw) and hasn't had one since.

I was quite bothered for awhile that she thought to come to me. I don't wanna be responsible if the dog had flopped dead on my tile.

Haha. She owns her own cheesecake bakery and I'm honestly telling you it's THE best cheesecake ever. I'm so excited. The German chocolate is possibly the best thing I've ever had in my mouth. Absolutely to die for!

It's just for standard cheese cake but I have a gluten free recipe if you want it. 🙂

I'll take it! I'm always looking for good GF recipes.

Aren't brides supposed to diet? In your best interest, I think those should be overnighted to Oklahoma. I'll break my diet to save you from yourself, Em

Good thing I have at least a year or two to work them back off 😛
