So which schools have told you thanks but no thanks? I'm not too proud to put it out there... I got the FU from Cincinnati and Wayne State. 10 other interviews though so it doesn't sting too bad. Oh and I'm just a stupid DO so rejections are a given.

Pitt gave me the axe 2 weeks ago

Pitt, MCG, Wayne. Not sitting on 10 interviews, but I'm still hopeful. Time to break out the phonebook.

yo badgas,

What were your board scores like? I am also a DO applicant thinking of applying next year. Its encouraging to see that DO's are getting interviews.

UCSD gave me the bird a coupla weeks ago.

👎 U Iowa yesterday

No from Dartmouth

I didn't want to go to Dartmouth anyways... I want my $25 back

1. U of Miami
2. U Mass
3. Advocate Illinois
4. U of Wisconsin
5. U of South Florida (program closed down)

As much as getting rejections sucks, I prefer it over no response, especially if they put it in a nice way such as U of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin was hating a lot yesterday

I would like my $25 back from
1. Advocate Illinois ( hello?!)
2.Wayne State
3.U Miami
4.Medical College of Georgia

I think there should be a policy where if the program rejects us, they should have to reimburse all or a part of the application fee, this includes no answer from programs as well! 😡

Got das boot from Advocate a while back....I didn't realize they had two categorical spots for the match....what a waste of $$$

Emory wasn't liking me this week/

Vandy today

Is it a bad sign if you have more rejections than interviews?

--this is more like a humorous, rhetorical question

I'm in the same position if that makes you feel better 😎

Got booted from Vanderbilt too btw

Just curious, how do they "reject" you? Mail, Phone, Email, Flowers, Box of Chocolates?🙁

The mascot from that institution knocks on your door and when you open it, they kick you in the junk. At least that's what happened with me. I shouldn't complain, my couple rejections were both back ups.

Hopefully they were just glancing blows, too.

Vanderbilt just said no go to me... Come to think of it after Early Decision for Undergrad, regular decision for Undergrad, Medical School and now Residency that's four times they've given me the finger. Either I suck or I need to live in Tennessee more...

..trust me..you don't suck and you surely do not need to live in TN more....no offense to any TN natives...😀

that's weak that they couldn't just tell you....I guess we need to pay more $$ to get official rejections....

You actually gonna give the places you applied to a ring? Am I under the wrong impression that this is not done and likely may tick off whoever you talk to? Am I being way to naive about this whole process?

Thus far I've only tried this at two programs. One politely told me their Step 1 cutoff. That ended the conversation pretty quickly. It reminded me of that time in the bar when she said, "I've got a boyfriend". The other seemed a little taken aback. He seemed hesitant to provide any info at the time. I suggested a return call after Nov 01. I'll be doing that later this week.

Neither seemed ticked by the process. I took up maybe 60 seconds of their time. I wouldn't suggest calling every single program on your list. I hand-picked the few I was very interested in. Granted, reading your thread, you are likely very interested in every program. Good luck.

Somewhere in the tomes of the interview thread, there was one person I recall who contacted a program she was very interested in, wondering if she would be interviewed. They admitted she should have been invited, but it must have been lost. Whatever.

If I am actually successful at this, maybe I'll remember to repost.

The tally so far:
1. UCSD
2. MGH
3. Harbor-UCLA
