Yeah I have been applying to a few, Tufts, BU, EVMS, Tulane, Cinci, UMDNJ...hopefully will hear something soon...oh yeah, and BMS

UMDNJ, BU, and Tulane Pharmacology are programs that I know that are still accepting applications. You might want to check out some of the other schools just in case. Tulane Pharm seems really enticing to me.

I applied to Tulane and Tufts for medical school. Could I use my info like I did for BMS???

Unfortunately, no. You will have to submit new transcipts, LORs, etc. It's a pain, but we have to do it 🙁
 
Good news - I dropped my acceptance Wednesday, so one more open spot at RFU. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

thank you....as more people withdraw, my hope keeps on increasing.
that's all i have is that little hope that i'll get in. besides that everything that i could do has been done...now nothing i do or say will change the outcome. (at least that's what i think)
 
Does anyone think they'll meet today???
 
I don't think they will meet before next Friday.

As far as withdrawls go, I would estimate that there are 3 for every 1reported on SDN.

I concur. I was studying biology today for the possible MCAT retake and I was thinking to myself, damn, I really like learning about this stuff. I want to get in so bad that I can hardly breathe!! :scared:

hey guys, i am in the BMS program at RFU and have been accepted to the medical school. one meeting took place in the first week of may, the next one is at the end of may and there will be a lot of turnover after may 15th so most of you guys are in good shape. Also another fact, last year everbody from the waitlist got in eventually, so if you are on the waitlist just relax, you are fine.
 
DVN, did you notify that email address about working the volunteer yet??? Do you just say, hey, I wanna work this time and that?

so if they met on the 9th when can we hear back from them earliest by? .. also has anyone been conatcted in any way by CMS post interview... its just that I havent heard back from them in any way after the interview.. no general information mail.. no waitlist.. nothing??.. is everyone who is waititng in the same boat?

For some reason I have a feeling that the May 9th meeting was primarily for the BMS students and they are trying to anticipate how many seats they will have open for the next meeting...

Regardless, hopefully someone hears something positive this week :luck:

Now im worried, if they met the 9th someone here should have heard by now, right? Unless nothing has been mailed out yet (do you know if they mailed?), or maybe was mailed out on friday. I interviewed after the April review date, so the May meeting would be the first time to go to review for me so I was curious. Any more info would be great, thanks for keeping us updated.

I think to get into the BMS program, there is a seperate committee, but once they are evaluated for the medical school, that might be the same adcom as the one who decides on us...who knows though...

yeah you are right the BMS committee is different from the medical school, but once we get into the BMS then the med admission committee that decides our application is the same as that which would decide any other applicants app.
from what i hear from students from last year, most likely in this meeting all of you guys were put on the waitlist because the class was already full, but after may 15th a lot of people withdraw. Thats when the waitlisters are let in. Thats why none of you heard back from this May 9th meeting, however after the next meeting which is sometime at the end of May, many of you will get accepted. hope this helps
 
Hey guys, I interviewed on April 24th (that's right, the last day that they were interviewing), and I have not heard anything (no rejection or waitlist), any ideas about when I might hear, or anything?
I'm kinda freaking out. I do have a GPA of 3.85 in BS/MS from one of Cali's best schools, but my MCAT was not so hot at all (Mainly because VErbal killed me, my science were ok).
I don't know. Any ideas, any hopes, should be hopeful or ... I already have a MS and I really don't want to get another MS.

Probably the end of may. If you interviewed, you stand a chance.

I am hoping for the end of May or maybe even sooner. I think most of us on this thread have CMS as either our number one or only choice. Hopefully we hear something positive soon :luck:

I hope the CMS adcom is sitting a conference room right now thinking "wow, how did nearly the whole class withdraw? I think we should accept: GujuMD, Heston, Samosas, Jccripe, Bigdog, those other SDN addicts, and dvn."
