Ok plot twist I got accepted for January 2026!
thank you for the info!I got into it this past summer for FA 2024 and then I would have started Jan 2025. I ultimately declined but they have about a class of 80-100 students and you'll be taking undergrad classes while on the island to prove you can handle the cirriculum and then you will matriculate into the next DVM class (if you pass FTV). You cannot use federal loans for the FTV program, you also need to pass a PVSCE exam in order to progress into the DVM class.
Here is more information: Foundation to Veterinary Program (FTV) Student Manual | St. George's University

If you bring a pet you can get your own housing. That's what I plan on doingDo you have to live in a dorm at SGU your first year?? I saw somewhere that you did but also heard that you don’t. I’m panicking a little cause I fully planned on getting my own housing so I can bring my cat.
Okay that’s what I thought I just got nervous when I saw somewhere that dorms are required first year. Is having an animal what makes you exempt or is it not really required? If you bring a pet you can get your own housing. That's what I plan on doing
I would email admissions if your worried about it and ask what the housing options are maybeDo you have to live in a dorm at SGU your first year?? I think it is one of the things that can make you exempt, but yes it is generally requiredOkay that’s what I thought I just got nervous when I saw somewhere that dorms are required first year. Is having an animal what makes you exempt or is it not really required?

I think they are getting reevaluated in the spring. I bet if you email them and ask about it they will tell you when it’s happeningdoes anyone have any info regarding if SGU is on track to continue to be AVMA accredited this year? Just wondering since I saw this year they are due for another site visit to be reaccredited, thanks!

I have a good friend that is currently doing the new curriculum at SGU. We had over a 2 hour conversation about the school and island. She really enjoys the new curriculum and had nothing but good things to say. She has felt well prepared for all of her exams so far! After every exam they even ask the students to fill out a survey. It seems like they really do try to get students feedback and make it the best learning experience possible. You have 3 units Professional Skills, Clinical Skills, and Systems. The systems is then broken in to 3 modules. For first term those modules areanyone have information on the new curriculum? how current students are enjoying it? would students recommend it? has it been effective in teaching? etc etc
hi! just saw you posted this, I took online lab classes and was still accepted so I wouldn't count yourself out yet!Just found out I can’t even reapply now that my prerequisites are done for January term because some of my labs were online. I swear I didn’t notice that before.
I’m in the same position. What would happen if we decline could we apply again?do you guys think i should accept the FTV program?
Anyone who was accepted for Jan 2026 and waitlisted for August get pulled off the waitlist yet?
From what I’ve seen, it’s $300-$400 per month. I think you have to get a Grenadian license and I believe the rental typically includes insurance. Most say that it’s better to buy because you typically get what you paid back. They drive on the left so may take some adjustments. I personally do not not feel comfortable. But that may change.Does anyone know how leasing/renting a car in Grenada is? How expensive it is and if its worth it?
