For me personally, I will retake if I have any <125 section scores or an overall <510. However, I have a 3.66/3.98 cGPA/sGPA. You might be able to get by with a 124 section score. When selecting schools to apply to, check MSAR to see if their 25th percentile is >124. If so, you are good.
For me, the answer depends on whether you think that the 510 was an anomaly or a fair assessment of your knowledge. If you are fairly confident that, with an expenditure of effort, your score will increase to 515 or better, I would retake the MCAT. That said, 510 is a respectable score and you otherwise have good stats/ECs, so I suspect you will get into a medical school with the 510 MCAT (though the upper tier schools may be a stretch).
With a GPA of 3.9 and a MCAT of 510 you are fine to apply this cycle in June. I suggest all these schools:
