Did any of you ever work in the VMC as a large animal neonatal volunteer? I'm interviewing and attending training for it next week. I'm super excited because I really need some large animal experience. Just wondering if any of you ever did it, and if you had any insight.

I'm really looking forward to this. I've been on the waitlist for awhile now waiting for something to come up with the large animal hospital. 😀

Stealthdog,
I hear you are coming to CO to visit a mutual friend. While you are here I would love to meet with you and talk about MN. I am a class of 2013 member, and a current grad student at CSU. So anyhow, let me know and I would appreciate the opportunity.

Haha, I feel so popular! Two posts waiting just for little ole me 🙂

cozycleo- I didn't work as a large animal neonatal volunteer, but I was on Foal Team (now renamed Neonatal Team to encompass the crias and calves), which I'm pretty sure is about the same thing. It's really fun! Unpredictable schedule, obviously, but hanging out with the little babies is great. The techs down in the LAH are all wonderful and will usually happily answer any questions you have.

Kai- yes, I'd be happy to get together! I'm not sure what my schedule will be exactly, but after I get settled in and figure out how the rotation will work, I'll send you a note and we can set something up.

Thanks for the response! We'll see how it goes this week. 🙂
