This is my first post on here. I'm 21, 3rd year in college education. First two or so I went to a community college and did most of my pre-req, I might have to do extra 2 classes because the university I go to requires little different classes. However, I am struggling in the science section. I like Chemistry, not so much Bio. However, this semester I'm taking Gen Chem I and Bio 1510 (both the first classes with lab for both), I might have to end up repeating both classes, because I know I will end up with a C+ for both. I struggled with Chem 1040, which is the basic intro class and had to drop and retake, ended up with a B+ in that. I haven't talked to any Medical School advisers yet. I know I have horrible study habits, and I'm trying to change them, and I have learned a lot about my study habits in the past two weeks, because I have been studying non stop because of the 5 tests I had in this week. Do I have any chances. DO or even maybe MD? How would these grades, and If i repeat them effect my chances.

Side note: I don't think any of the material we are studying is actually hard, it's just that I don't give myself enough time to study.

Figure out how to succeed in undergrad before thinking about med school at this point. Your school should have a learning specialist or learning office that can help you.

In my opinion you have a lot to figure out. If you don't even like the science subjects then why do you think medicine is right for you? Yes, it's true that medicine is a lot more than just science but that doesn't mean the science ever goes away.

Your problems seem to mimic the typical "pre med" freshman: struggling in classes and having just arrived to university. We all go through it.

First things first, try to give yourself more time to study. Don't worry about getting into medical school just yet.
