I interviewed Sept. 5th. So yes, their admissions is truly a rolling process and even if you don't get accepted right away, it could happen at any time. Did your interview go well last week?

It seemed to go well - nothing threw me for a loop and my interviewers seemed very nice. And I got to say everything that I wanted to say (i.e. all of my reasons for wanting to go to Baylor). I just hope they took what I said to heart and realize how important it is for me to get in there. I don't want to be forced into a long-distance marriage and juggle a kid between us. Anyway, hopefully what others have said is right, and that posting in this thread is good luck! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

The schools are all really good in the area from what I hear. But I hear West U housing is very expensive. The nice thing is, the house will almost definitely appreciate in value if/when you decide to sell it.

I was curious about the housing market myself and did a bit of work, but I cant find anything in my price range.

no kids yet, but probably within the next 4 years. however, schools do matter to us, i think it says something about the area, and don't plan on moving again for a long time. all that said, we want to buy in west u or bellaire, and would rather wait a year or two, until our financial situation is a bit improved. one place close enough to the med center with affordable housing is the heights. it is an area that is rapidly improving, so if you are looking for a house, check there!

A bit further down the road from West U, like Braes Heights and then on to Bellaire and Meyerland, is more affordable. still within 15 minutes of the med center, maybe 20-30 in traffic. Maybe not biking distance. Since I'm currently 1hr15min away, this sounds good to me!

Is it just me... or is there no interview feedback for UT Southwestern? 😕 Maybe I just keep missing it but I swear I've looked through the list several times and all I see is Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio.

I'm interviewing there next week and if anyone remembers anything useful about interviewing there I'd really appreciate it. Among other things, if it's any different from interviewing at the other TX schools (I've done Houston and will have San Antonio earlier next week).

Its under U. of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, a couple scroll pages above the other UTs. Sorta weird.

The interview is pretty standard, 2 faculty interviews, nothing special.
