Any word from York U for the Clinical Adult Track?
I dunno about dlpfc, but my POI at York C-D e-mailed me a week ago with an unofficial acceptance, dependent only on their final committee meeting that was supposed to happen last week...Hi DLPFC! When (date) and how (email, phone?) were you accepted to York C-D? If you're not comfortable revealing on the board, can you PM me? Thanks!
I don't know if it's good news or bad news.
I just called the department and found out that some people were already interviewed, some people were rejected, and some (like myself) are still... well, nowhere 🙂
Good Lord! Not again! I can't believe it. Not again...ugh...limbo. This is horrible...So- Orchid, you just assumed since you had not been rejected or invited that you are somewhere in between? Do you plan on emailing your POI to check-in? You can PM if you want...Thank you for sharing your update.
I'm scared to hear the answer to this...but has anyone heard back from SFU????

Rejected... this week by snail mail.
I received my unofficial acceptance from York last week...still waiting for the "official" acceptance from the Graduate Studies Office.
Ok guys.... I just missed a phone call from my POI at SFU, wanting me to return the call tomorrow.I'll keep you posted when I know more, keeping my fingers crossed!
Did you get an email or snail mail? And if it was snail mail, do you live in Canada or the U.S.?
I just spoke on the phone with someone who's considering her offer from USask (she wanted to ask me some questions). For anyone still in limbo there, don't worry because a lot of people wait for offers from other provinces (like BC and Ontario) and end up turning down the prairie provinces. I suspect that another round of offers will go out once the first wave makes up their minds.
Do you mean you got a physical acceptance letter from York in the mail yesterday, or an official acceptance letter from the department of psych or grad studies?Email. The letter from the psychology department came today, but it's individualized, not a mass letter for all accepted students so I'm pretty sure all professors are doing their acceptances at their own pace.
Rejected from UBC by snail mail today.
Talked to my POI at SFU today (I know him personally) and was rejected. Apparently they have funding cuts and are accepting only 3 students in total for both the clinical and experimental programs (usually they accept 10 students for each).
Forgot to mention....I do know of one student who has been offered admission to the SFU clinical program. She found out today.
This is such upsetting news to hear....do you know who her POI was?

What did the UBC letter say exactly, if you don't mind paraphrasing

I just got accepted to the clinical program at SFU (neuropsych track)!!!!!🙂 I received a phone call today from my POI, letter to follow by snail mail.
I asked my POI about the small acceptance rates this year, and she said the cohort size for the upcoming class is a bit smaller than the previous couple of years, but should still consist of 6-8 students in both the clinical and experimental programs. I'm not sure what to make of these differences in responses...

Does anyone know if it's possible to get your student visa at the border (going in to Toronto)? If so, any idea how that works?
Got an offer via email to SFU's child clinical program a couple of hours ago!!!!!!🙂🙂
Hey, has anyone heard from OISE at all about the counseling program or the Ryerson clinical program?
Good luck to everyone!!![]()
I just received a phone call from the psychology department at the University of Saskatchewan telling me that I've been recommended for acceptance to the brain, behaviour, and cognition PhD program. They were looking for information for scholarship applications. I guess that means official letters should be out soon.

I got accepted to the clinical program at University of Manitoba on 3/20 via email and a phone call from my POI. He said the official acceptance letters were sent out that same day but probably wouldn't be received until next week due to the holiday weekend.
