Ok so I was thinking about it and those of us who have been accepted had better get into shape by august because well in my opinion OMM lab will be alot more fun if there is ummm "eye candy" present.

Anyways whatcha do is post what workout you did everyday on here so you can track your progress and others can give you motivation. This is supposed to be fun!!!!

I will start posting on Monday.

Disclaimer: I realize this may be off topic but I thought it would be a fun(and healthy) way to liven up the board without risking starting any flame wars.

Hahaha! Very funny! But is a good idea? As the ladies don't take off their shirts; wouldn't man-boobs be better than no-boobs? :p

Thats the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

lmao, this is truly a funny thread lol

Does anyone else cycle?? I find that its a great(and fun:D ) way to keep in shape!

Anyway, I've got my Trek 6000 and my goal is to ride 1,500 miles this year...

i believe at pcom, ladies have to take their shirts off as well. The good thing is, if you're not comfortable with your body, OMM will take that fear away

NO!!!! Man-Boobies anywhere are in fact WORSE than no-boobs(yes I know its a shock but GQ said it so it has to be true). Please everybody lets try to rid ourselves of the shock of a man with C cups. It just makes some of us(me) lose our appatites, and I love food!!!!

so just to clarify

no-boobs>man-boobs

Oh and now I guess everybody know I read GQ....damnit my reputation as a manly guy is ruined!!!!

i've been back at the gym too, but not because of OMM lab, hehe ;)

i am into free weights. i had a couple of sessions with a personal trainer and it was SO worth it!

after 4 yrs of weights training, I developed IST(Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia) whereby the heart beats ridiculously fast even on minimum exertion, so I guess I am going to stick with walking and jogging. No more weight training for me. Damn that sucks:(

C'mon now... we don't have man-boobs, its just unused pectoral muscles waiting to spring into action! All the same, a diet and adding a few more cable excercises may be in order...

well I have been into bodybuilding for a while and I have seen many men develop boobs(gynecomastia) if they take certain supplements and don't work out hard enough.

WHAT?!?! Do I have to take my shirt off or not?!?!? :scared: I didn't know anything about having to take my clothes off!!!

I didn't apply to PCOM. :( Say...just when is their AACOMAS deadline? :p

(Actually, that's not cool if they do.)

i really doubt if OMM studetns have to take their shirts off completely. I have seen OMM lab in session and students were appropriately dressed.

Does all osteopathic schools require you to take your shirts off for OMM labs?

Hmmmm....'prolly a sport bra or sport top and shorts.

That is what they do in some nursing schools when you have to practice certain procedures.

I saw alot of this while I was playing college baseball due to steroid use.

Started working out last week...

Lifted and started running this week, too.

It hurts right now...

It's not so much the fat I worry about (i'm only 165 lbs) but my furry features that may scare ladies away.

He wears a loincloth to cover up his to-to and chest armour to cinch up the man boobs.

This the the PERFECT outfit for OMM class. (I will be sewing them personally and selling them on e-bay)

lucky for me, CCOM manipulates through "comfortable clothing"... so if I go to PCOM it will be a rude awakening haha considering they do OMM in boxers for guys... or so i understand..

A student at UMDNJ told me that the guys typically take their shirts off and wear swim trunks and the ladies wear 1-piece bathing suits.

Oh, and not for nothing, but when I was there it seemed like every second girl at UMDNJ was gorgeous!!!!!

You dont HAVE to take off your shirt if you dont want to. Everyone I have seen leaves theirs on

OK. I just checked with DCOM and I DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE MY SHIRT OFF!!! I was not looking forward to hitting the gym.:D

dagnabit... No shirtless dudes with manboobs mean I won't be able to sell my OMM costumes! :D

I'm doing "Core Rythms" (salsa dance workout) since my kids like dancing along. I am trying to wear a pedometer to increase my walking, but my kids keep stealing it because they think it's a toy car. I'm also trying to drink more water. I've got 25 pounds of baby weight to lose by July. Blah...

I'm hoping since Erie has a conservative dress code they're not thinking of making us wear bathing suits. In all honesty, mothers of two should not EVER be required to wear less than shorts and tshirt in public....

AHHH!! Just had the requirement clarified for DCOM. There WILL BE occasions that I will have to be in a sports bra! :scared: Guess I will be working out after all.

Mies: I doubt any school would make you wear anything that you aren't comfortable with :) . I bet you could ask to wear some sweats or a t-shirt and nobody would mind..

No, actually PCOM requires guys to wear thong speedos. Gluteals have to be available for manipulation.

I heard that some schools require wearing a g-string and nipple tassels! For both genders.

LOL! I have FOUR!!! Two words.... STRETCH MARKS!!!! :scared:

at PCOM you can come to lab in shorts and a t-shirt...but when you are the patient for anything below the cervicals...guys shirts will be off and ladies will be wearing a sports bra

you get over any insecurities and apprehension w/ touching people quickly
