Round 1 offers have been sent out with a deadline of January 4, 2013. We will review the responses and make decisions on Round 2 offers with a goal of having decisions ready by middle of January (though specifics depend on the availability of the committee members).

If you are on continued review and do NOT wish to be reconsidered for Round 2, please let Brian know by email so we can prepare our ballots properly and you don't wind up taking a spot that you don't intend to keep. That is to say, you must opt-out to withdraw from the process of round 2. (We welcome any other correspondence from those who wish to be considered for Round 2.)

Does this mean that people on the continued review will have an another round of chance of getting an acceptance?

Received the acceptance packet in the mail. Can anyone confirm that there are only 3 pages? I feel like I misplaced a page or two haha. Thanks.

any idea how many more interviews will be held Dr.Chuck????

Dr. Chuck, with that said, How many acceptances were sent out on Dec 3rd?
Thank you

I totally understand, just tried my luck at more information 🙂
eager for the next round of acceptances :xf:

Two interview spots just opened for Thursday. If you wish to claim them, you have until 8pm ET to email Dr. Chuck.
I'm confused, was this first come first serve? And if we have not yet received an interview do we still have a (statistically) decent shot at a post-Dec interview? Thanks!

It was first-come, first-served. It depends on how many interview spots open up when people drop as they get accepted, and how many people take the vacancies.

If you have been invited to interview and want to see if anyone has cancelled or rescheduled their interview, you should be able to go back to the ticket scheduler site and claim an interview spot that is closer in time. If you do that, please go ahead and cancel your original reservation after you have claimed the new interview slot. That way, I can also change our other calendar (not linked to the event site) and prepare the folders for your interview appropriately. If you have difficulty cancelling or reserving a spot, email me.

Hi Dr. Chuck,

I was wondering if the tuition that is listed $56400 (not including fees and books and instruments) is for sept. to april only or does it also cover the summer tuition? if not, how much was summer tuition last year?

He even interviewed a few of this year's applicants. He will definitely be missed here.

🙁 I had the great opportunity to interview with him in August. He is a huge reason why I chose Case over other schools. He was an amazing man, even in that short hour when I met him.

When I look at the breakdown of tuition for the current 4 classes, the overall tuition appears to include summer tuition fees when applicable (D3 and D4). I'd ask Ms. Sciulli if you have specific questions on that (dentmoney at case).

It appears that for whatever reason our Office of Admissions hasn't gotten as many requests to visit prospective applicants. We do want to reach out to as many applicants who are seriously considering our program, so please refer prospective applicants for AADSAS 2014 to our website where we have just posted a recruitment presentation. This presentation can only be viewed on browsers that can read Adobe Flash Player files (i.e., not Macs, iPads, iPhones, etc.).

Should this presentation inspire interest in having us schedule on-campus on online presentations with your predental organizations, please contact us so that we can more directly deliver our specific advice for desirable applications. We also anticipate that we will have another webchat near the time of the 2013 ADEA Dental School Virtual Fair in April.

Thank you Dr Chuck for replying.

Just to confirm, so after D1 is there a summer break for about 10 weeks before D2 starts in August?

Really appreciate it thanks

We'll try to let you know. I have to do the analysis of the decisions made by those offered. I know we will have seats available so now we have to see the specific timeline to notify for the next round.

Make sure you do send us an update by email about your file if you haven't already.

Dr. Chuck,

Am I right to assume that those of us who don't have any major changes to our applications (no academic update) will be at a large disadvantage when it comes to subsequent rounds of acceptances?

I don't think it's a disadvantage if you don't have any major updates, but we want to be fair to those of you who do have updates to make sure we know about it. This includes fall semester coursework that may have been pending when we decided for Round 1, or any updated DAT's.

To use a different example, if you just wanted to say "hello" and restate your interest with us, it's helpful but not a significant advantage for you to do that. Neither would not saying "hello" be a significant disadvantage. Because we look at applications holistically, the more accurate information we have, the better it is for you.

That said, it IS important to know if you would no longer want to be considered so that we can be fair to those under review who do want to be considered.

I also wanted to remind those of you holding interview spots to periodically review the ticket website to see if you can move up in the interview schedule. If you do, please let me know that you are switching dates so I can cancel your original appointment.

Dr. Chuck,

Has an approximate date been set for the second round of acceptances to go out?

Hey Dr. Chuck. Does that mean people that interview after the meeting for round 2 file review will have to wait till round 3?

Hello Dr. Chuck,

Would it be possible for you to tell us how many seats are currently filled?

Thanks Dr. Chuck, you're the best!

We anticipate coming up with decisions this week, so I'm still targetting for notification by the end of the week.

Oh okay...it's going to be a long week. Thank you for keeping us up to speed!

Hello Dr.Chuck,

I am a reapplicant where I was invited for an interview during my last cycle.
I sent you an email about the interview process for the reapplicants.
The information would greatly help me because I really would like to attend Case !
Could you check if you have received my email?
Thank you

Hello Dr.Chuck,

I sent you another email with my previous email today.

Your responses and information in this forum greatly help us !

Interview Feb 4th! So excited as Case is my first choice! 😍 Anyone else interviewing the same day who would like to meet up?

Dr. Chuck-- now that we've reached midweek and you probably have a better idea, does case still plan on notifying 2nd round by the end of this week?

The flu bug that has been epidemic around the country has affected our timeline a bit but we are trying to see if we can get work out by Friday. If not, early next week.
