Thanks for the walk through but I don't have those options. Pretty sure something is wrong from LECOM's end. Just need to get in contact with them somehow to have them fix it.

The next step in the application process is to submit an online LECOM Supplemental Application and the $50.00 non-refundable application fee. The Supplemental Application is very brief and will allow you to provide additional profile information. We encourage you to complete the LECOM Supplemental Application as soon as possible.

To access the online supplemental application, the following username and password has been assigned to give you access to the LECOM Candidate Portal. (If you are not following the link in this e-mail to the web portal, the address is: portal.lecom.edu)

After logging in, select the Admissions tab then select the blue "Applicant DMD - Bradenton" link on the left side of the page". Payment of the non-refundable $50.00 application fee is required at the time you submit your supplemental application. You are required to submit letters of recommendation to AADSAS. You may request letters of recommendation from your pre-health professions advisor or pre-professional committee. Update: So I called bc I can't see the other options on the portal either...I was told that if Lecom hasn't reviewed your application and marked it as complete (DAT scores, LOR, supp app and fee) then you can't see those options. Only when everything is complete will the portal update and you can access the Required Letters and Credits tab, etc.

From my understanding, they are updating the files this week so check back on Friday.

Okay, thanks! I might call them and ask? Because I never got that email, yet it says my app is under review, which makes no sense.
Do only qualified applicants get the supplemental information, maybe?

Wow only $45,000 that's a great deal for a DENTAL SCHOOL. Dental school is not like Pharmacy school, if you go OOS to a "good state school" this will cost up to $90,000. FYI there are only 64 DENTAL SCHOOLS nation wide and the majority are private.

i dont' know who in their right mind would go to the LECOM dentistry school and be a guinea pig for an untested and barely accredited program. I don't think you have much authority to speak about the school when you think it only costs $45,000. Someone's trying to stir the pot.... :troll: :annoyed:
 
what is the reason people say LECOM is the last resort? one of the people in this thread actually went as far as to say that if LECOM was the only school they got into, they would probably reapply.

I PM-ed the person but haven't got a reply yet.

Does anyone have any idea? Is there something sketchy about this school?

is it normal that my "Supplemental Application" is still (In Progress) even after I submitted everything + my fee?

Yeah I payed the fee a week ago and my portal is still blank. Things were moving pretty quickly until now.
 
I checked my portal and so far nothing!!! I guess we just have to wait patiently.

Yeah, first batch. From the homepage, I sign in, click the Admissions tab up top, then just click on the "Interview" option on the sidebar. Alternatively, I could click on "Admission Status" then "View Admission Status" which gives me a summary of everything, including:

"Congratulations, you have been scheduled for an interview at LECOM Bradenton. You will receive an email 10 days prior to your scheduled interview to reconfirm your attendance."

What's strange to me is that I didn't get an email or anything. When I click the "Interview" option in the sidebar it brings me to LECOM Interview Portlet that says I've already been scheduled. It also says, "To cancel or reschedule a BRADENTON DENTAL campus interview, please contact Stephanie Quilichini at [email protected]" so at least there's that.

It's a bittersweet feeling. My stats aren't the best so of course I'm more than grateful I even got an interview, but this thread has been sort of a buzzkill, haha

Hoping it's not a glitch in the portal!

Same here! Interview scheduled for 8/26. I guess I will be seeing you there most likely. No email though, just saw it on the portal. I am a re-applicant and interviewed at LECOM last year as well. I was mailed in the second batch (07/05). If this isn't a glitch (I'll probably call tomorrow to confirm if I don't receive an email), we are probably their first interview day/possibly top choice applicants!

Last year, I got the interview invite via snail mail. The official letter is probably on its way to you, and since its faster to upload the invite on their portal that probably explains why.

Congrats btw!

Awesome! It's my first time applying and my first interview this cycle so it's pretty exciting. Try not to steamroll me too hard during the group interview haha

Oh and thanks to you too, jntm46, I never knew the SDN community was so supportive 👍 I hope the physical letter has a bit more information than the portal
 
Stephanie Quilichini quit her job in January-Feb. Its someone else doing it now.

Don't worry. I'll only mess you up once or twice...haha jk. and from last year, it was actually kind of weird. I didn't have an interview scheduled on the portal, and then I called the admissions office and they told me I DID get an interview. and they sent me an email shortly after with all the information. So they should send an email too.
 
did LECOM ever send out an "application is complete/forwarded for review" email?
 
Last e-mail I got was confirmation that they received my payment. Nothing since. Can't use portal. Nada. 2nd batch. Makes me feel sketchy about this school.

The last email I got was a "LECOM has processed your supplemental application" email. It didn't specifically say under review, but it pretty much was. I got it on July 23rd and got an invite on the 25th. so pretty quick.

Good to know. I submitted my supp on7/9 and haven't heard anything. One part of my portal says my supplemental is pending. The admission status part of my portal says its complete.
 
I submitted my supplemental the first day it was sent out too (I think 7/9) and mine also says pending. I have not gotten an application complete email yet either.

Yea I don't know. I also submitted it on 07/09. Immediately I got a receipt email and an application confirmation email. Then, on 07/23, I got the processed email. I was 2nd batch and a reapplicant to the school. I'm sure you will get the processed email by next week.
 
Just got my invitation for an interview on the portal today! Anyone know how to determine what day you are scheduled for?

Edit: Found out the day/time. Also emailed the address about rescheduling and got a mail was delivered message from gmail. Anyone else get that? Going to call tomorrow and see if I can reschedule over the phone.

I just added LECOM to my app. We'll see how long it takes to receive an e-mail from them about the app fee payment and such; I would say at least three weeks, maybe four? :wow:

what is with the letter of evaluation form they have o their website...? i sent all my letters through AADSAS...are we supposed to send these letters again separately?🙁

I was wondering this as well... I had my committee upload my letters to AADSAS.

im sooo glad i'm not the only one! I called today and she said they will revise those most likely next week for review. I am stumped as to why that is though. All of my LOR's were sent with aadsas.
 
I was 1st batch and I have submitted my sup app on 7/9, but my portal is not showing anything not even a pending status. I guess LECOM will receive an angry call on Monday morning

No, only got application received email and the $50 receipt email that's it.
 
just submitted my app so i was wondering the $50 thing, is that the payment for the supp app? or is it refering to 90 paid through aadsas for the primary. .
 
I called and they said my application wasn't hung up or anything and that they've just starting really getting to the applications recently... yet a couple 3rd/4th batchers got interviews and I don't even know if my application is under review?!
 
Did you expect them to say "Yeah we already looked at your application but we liked others better so we gave them interviews and we just put you back in the stack"...?
 
Can someone who has received an interview invitation please clarify this LOR issue? I submitted my LORs through AADSAS but the portal page says to have our professors send LORs directly to the school. I've never heard of a school requesting LORs be sent directly to them.. they just use the ones uploaded to AADSAS.

I just sent it through aadsas and got an interview. no need to send them directly to the school.

In my "Required Letters and Credits" folder, it shows the following:
