they probably thought you were me . . . . That is why you got accepted . ..

They were like, oH Tooth KNockn BE from Queens and so is this applicant, from the first group of interviewed ppl !!!

nyu has guaranteed clinical system to see many patients..
If you want to have a lot of clinical experience before you actually become a dentist, go to nyu
 
This might have been asked before, but its always a good post to have every couple of tabs....

What's going on with the loans? Are they going to be the same loans as the rest of the schools or is this a special case since they've just been accredited?
Grad+, Federal loans all that good student debt stuff.... whats going on with it? I remember them saying it's going to be different.

Does anyone know how many days you have to turn in the deposit? Anyone get waitlisted/rejected yet?
 
I'm stilling waiting for the link to put my deposit down... idk how many days i have but I dont see any other way to pay it.
 
They've sent out the email about the TouroOne Student Portal, but how can we pay the deposit... anyone know???

I talked to the admission office this morning. They told me that they have sent out few rejections today morning and depending on how many accept the offer, more acceptances will get sent out this week. Also they have not sent out any notification with regards to waiting list yet.

I got an email today about paying the deposit. Came after the TouroOne account info. It says 1 week from today to pay the deposit.

tried to create portal login, couldn't sent them an emial. waiting for the reply. I feel bad for you guys who got rejected.

For an inaugural class, I wonder what it is they are really looking for.

-- same thing happened with me, i seriously hope something is wrong with the portal and things get pushed back a couple of days or so lol....

I'm so sorry.. You've been so enthusiastic about this school, it broke my heart to read that.

But don't worry. If there's one thing I've learned from two years of applying, it's that you'll end up where you belong eventually. Keep trying and best of luck. It's their loss. 🙂

And I'm not going only cause it's new and I got an offer at Pittsburgh so I rather go there.

I have a 3.6 gpa and a 20 dat
 
Is anyone else still having a problem authenticating the TouroOne account? I've tried multiple times to email the Help email and have had no luck.... anyone have a clue?

Try selecting "Revalidate", rather than "First Time User" on the website. That's what worked for me, but it may have been because of changes made by the help desk people.

How do I know I m in waiting list. Waiting list student can be without interview!?

There's only one standard interview. After you're invited to interview and complete your interview, you're considered for either an acceptance, a rejection or a waitlist position. It seems to me that no one has been waitlisted at this time. They have only sent out acceptances and rejections so far. There will be another round of acceptances depending on the feedback they receive from those who have been offered a seat. Did you interview?
 
You guys know whats the deal with financial aid? Like is it a similar process to every other school?

No clue but im replying to this to see if anyone else knows.... i think its the same Grad+ and Federal unsub. loans.....

today at 3 i am assuming a few spots were given up including mine due to the deposit contract, so expect some people to get more acceptances this week!
 
Has anyone not been rejected yet?? I feel the majority of us got rejected already

I have not yet been rejected. The office said they'll be sending out more acceptances within the next few days, definitely within the week. And I know for sure there are people who have declined their offer. Pleasee stay positive.

I interviewed day 2 and still have not received any notice. I'm guessing the next round will also be a combo of acceptances and rejections? Not sure, the suspense is killing me.

Some rejections were sent out a few days after the first round of acceptances on 4/20.

Really? Cause I just called too and they said that's it for acceptances for now and that they'll be reaching out to all the candidates within the week or possibly next week. They also said they're holding off on sending waitlists and rejections for now..
