When I mentioned during my interview, professor and D19 said that my o.chem from community college should be okay since I took biochemistry and got an A+ at my 4 year institution.
I emailed John about my situation and he said he will make a note of this.
I emailed him again for the final confirmation but did not receive the vivid answer.
I think you should email to get a written confirmation so you will not be rescind prior to matriculation.

Thank you, too early for that. I don't think they will send me an invitation for an interview. But I will update them with the latest courses that I am planning to take, hopefully, they will consider me.

Turned down my invitation to interview, hopefully it goes to another well deserving candidate! Good luck everyone!

I do not know about undergrad applicants, but I feel that it is probably ok.
As a grad student, Dr. Kasberg really likes communication. Updates in your application are good or an update to see how your application is being processed is fine as well. They do not like emailing them after you have had your interview though (in terms of updates on their decision).

Yes, this happened to my friend last year, so she will be starting this upcoming July. In her case, she did not put that she was pursuing her master's and they told her that they would be able to accept her after she graduated with her master's (which is this summer). I also have another friend that is D22 right now and interviewed 2 cycles ago. She was told that she had a deferred acceptance and would need to get her master's in a year before starting. I do not know why they do this, but it happens with every cycle. I believe they will let you know what the conditions are of your deferred acceptance and it will only make you a better dental student 🙂
They do the deferred acceptance as a help to those who are seen as typically deficient in GPA and academics.

does anyone know if Tufts allows a guest (parent/spouse) to accompany them during the interview? obviously not during the one on one interview part but during the presentation/lunch?

A parent/spouse can come but they most likely will have them wait outside the room with the presentations, etc. Theres a small lobby area right outside the elevators that some parents waited in during my interview day.

Has anyone status changed from under review to none or application denied on AADSAS yet ? Mine is still under review. At this point, I am not sure if I will get an interview since its already so late .. 🙁

this was posted last week:
I believe so. They usually interview until the end of February

If I heard correctly, when I interviewed on Tuesday, Dr. Kasberg said there were still 80 spots left

Yeah, no.

My wife came but just walked around the city. They don't come to any of the actual interview day activities.

Any current Tufts students remember when they finally got their student email and ID info? After paying the deposit, admissions said we’d get that stuff “shortly” but I still haven’t heard anything. That was a month ago. Just curious

my AADSAS status says 'application complete'... did it say 'under review' for those of you who have received interview invites?

I'm in the "Application Complete" boat as well. Can anyone interpret that? I haven't gotten a rejection letter, so are we just in limbo as they sort out further interview offers?

I didn't look at what mine said. I had a friend who received an invitation after his status changed into application complete way back in Aug or Sept.

My status was "application complete" for a while, then in late November it changed to "under review." That status stayed until I was invited for an interview.

To those who have interviewed already: Are we supposed to receive some kind of booklet in the mail prior to the interview? People in the interview feedback were mentioning something about a blue info book?

I didn’t receive anything like that prior to the interview.

Then can we assume that our application hasn’t been reviewed if it’s under application complete..

No, they will give you a sheet about financial aid, a purple sheet showing anything they need from you to complete your application, and a tufts magazine.
All these items will be given to you on the interview day

Does anyone know if Tufts waitlist moves at all and what are the chances getting off of it?

@dentalguy1994 @Faefly I'm concerned I will be asked to retake physics as well. I received a C+. Do you think I will have the same issue?
If it was at a 4yr institute then no, it’s fine.
I havent taken Orgo 1 or 2, Biochem, and both my Physics semesters were at community college and they accepted me so it’s not a big deal. And once you’re accepted grades don’t matter anymore you only need a solid C to keep your spot.

Thank you, at least there are options. I am taking Physiology and Cell bio this spring and I took Biochemistry last year, but I am kinda feeling that Tufts is impossible right now lol
But I hope you make it! Best of luck
Lol yeah I feel like it’s impossible too. Well not entirely I more so think it’s not worth being half a million in debt when there’s other schools with much cheaper tuition rates. But Tufts is nice AF.....can’t deny that

Anyone can give me some insight on the interview day? Any tip would be helpful !

It was very chill interview day. We were put into random groups for a ice breaker. You had to come up with an ideal dental practice. My student interviewer was very passionate about the university and tried to grill me but after awhile it just became a conversation. It was an open interview and they only had your essay and extracurriculares.

Our Icebreaker was different. Make sure you know how to come up with a story fast. Our story sucked and we didn't have time to come up with details for each person to say. I ended getting in! Just make sure to have fun during icebreaker and don't get frustrated if this happened!

The one week deadline for mailing all the documents just for a waitlist is ridiculous.
