The email that I got:
"We realize that you have been awaiting your decision release longer than we anticipated, and we appreciate your patience. We hope to have your decision released within the next 10 days. Thank you, again, for your patience as we approach the end of this admissions cycle!"

How about you all?

I got this email too.

Yep that’s the one. I’m curious as to the people receiving the ‘we hope you’re pleased with the decision’ version. I think maybe they have deposits elsewhere and it’s the schools way of selling itself. The entire interview day was a here’s why tufts is so great, now let’s see if it fits because we already think you’re good enough and want you.

that's exactly how I felt my interview day went. how do you think they decide who to reject? because all day, I had felt that I'd be surprised to receive a rejection but after reading everyone else's posts I'm second-guessing my gut feeling/the 10% rejection number has to come from somewhere.

Yes, but I’m not sure how they would know that

From my understanding: Schools reported to ADEA who has deposits down on March 1st, and ADEA released that info to the other schools March 5th.

Yes but only schools whose offers you have accepted can see that information, not schools who haven’t accepted you

I interviewed at the end of February but didn't get one of those emails.. When did you guys interview?

I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s probably just because it hasn’t been a super long time since your interview. A bunch of us have been waiting for over a month

I would actually advise you to mail them because they ask for your social security number. You don't want to send confidential information like that via email.

Ah, true. Just tryna rush lol. Thanks

Interviewed Feb 11th

Interviewed on Feb 11th; no news today like...

Anyone who interviewed in March, have you heard anything?

I was interviewed in early March and my status still says invited for interview . Is that the same for everyone who was interviewed in March?

I interviewed in the end of February and my status says that too.

I’m curious but does anyone know if those that just recently got accepted was the last round of acceptances?

Anyone who interviewed on Feb 7th heard from Tuft? I received the 10days email but after all nothing.

Should we send a letter of intent? But I feel like the school doesn’t want us to bother them...

Happy day 10! No news yet, guess I fall victim to the phrase “we ‘hope’ to release your decision within 10 days.”

They might have meant 10 business days. Don't let posts of people hearing back make you anxious (I know, easier said than done), you are not alone. Hang in there! Keep busy and stay off SDN a bit 🙂

Does anyone know the dates for when the first, second, and third deposits are due for those who were accepted? also, does it vary depending on when you got accepted or does everyone have the same dates?

Do you guys know if Tufts still sending out invite for interview or they are done with this cycle?

hi guys! i'm going to be applying to schools next year and I kind of really like tufts so far! i know it's expensive, but is it out of state friendly? since it's private I'm assuming there's more openness to out of state applicants but I'd really like to know for sure that I have somewhat of a chance getting in here. I'm on the east coast a few hours from tufts!

I applied to Tufts 3 years in a row and finally got an interview/acceptance from them. After interviewing I realized that Tufts adcom really like older candidates, especially those who have a masters degree. I believe about 100 students for last year’s class have a masters. I would definitely apply. I never expected to get an interview but as of right now Tufts is one of my favorite dental schools.

oohh okay I don't have a master's, i'm going to be a traditional applicant after i was rejected from the dental school i was in a 7 year program with (3 plus 4). i'm still going to apply and be hopeful, thank you!
